Neither the guru nor the disciple verified the validity of their belief if it is truth. People who give lectures and write large books on religion, yoga, and theoretical philosophy are good in their subject but what they know and propagate as Advaita is Advaitic wisdom is the question.
Some claim that for many years they enjoyed mystic exaltation, trances, meditations, and peace but this state passes away when the waking passes away. From the standpoint of the Soul, the Self, the waking experience itself is an illusion Thus, the individual experience within the waking or dream is merely an illusion because the waking or dream is merely an object to Soul, the subject.
When one thinks as an individual he has experienced the Non-duality then it is as good as the dream. Non-duality cannot be experienced as a person because it is prior to any experience.
Those who claim they have experienced the ‘Self’ belong to religion or yoga, not spirituality. What is the use of such an individual experience which is experienced within the dualistic illusion? Whatever is experienced belongs to dualistic illusion because experience implies duality.
From the ultimate standpoint, the duality is not a reality. You must realize the ‘Self, not experience the ‘Self’.
Remember:~
The ‘Self’ cannot be experienced by you because the world in which you exist is a reality within the dualistic illusion. Therefore whatever experienced within the dualistic illusion is bound to an illusion. The ‘Self is not you but the ‘Self is the Soul, which is hidden by the dualistic illusion. The ‘Soul, the ‘Self is hidden by the dualistic illusion because the dualistic illusion is created out of the Soul, the ‘Self’, which is present in the form of the consciousness.
The experience implies duality. The duality is an illusion. Your existence is a reality within the illusion. The ‘Self’ is not you but the ‘Self is the Soul, which is present in the form of the consciousness. Self is not separate from consciousness because the’ Self’ itself is consciousness.
Remember:~
The ‘Self’ cannot be experienced because the ‘Self’ is the formless, timeless, and spaceless existence. The ‘Self’ is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.
The ‘Self’ is prior to the appearance of the form, time, and space. The experience is possible only in the domain of the form, time, and space. There is no duality in non-dualistic reality.
Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana is neither gained by scholarly explanations nor by descriptions, nor by the instructions of others -- but by the direct realization of the ultimate truth or Brahman.
Whatever is seen known, believed experienced as a person in this world is part of the illusory duality. The duality is not a reality from the standpoint of the Soul, the innermost Self. In reality, the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness is devoid of duality. In the realm of non-dualistic reality, the experience and experiencer are one in essence.
It is the consciousness alone that exists everywhere at all times, but because of ignorance, the dualistic illusion is experienced as a reality.
The Soul, the Self is not born, nor does it die because it is ever formless, timeless, and spaceless. The birth, life, death, and the world exist only in the domain of form, time, and space.
Only in ignorance, there is the bondage of the form, time, and space. If there is no ignorance then there is no need to acquire Gnana nor there is any desire to fulfill. In reality, The Soul is neither bound nor is it liberated – it is ever free from the limitation of the form, time, and space. :~ Santthosh Kumaar
