Sage Sankara says: ~ “What is accepted without a proper inquiry will not lead a person to the final goal. On the contrary, such acceptance will result only in evil, in something which is detrimental to our spiritual progress.
Nothing has to be accepted as truth without deeper verification.
Some Gurus say withdraw your mind from the external object to find peace. All such statements of Gurus are half baked knowledge. Only head nodders will follow such Gurus and their teaching without any verification.
How can you withdraw your mind from external objects?
Is it so easy to withdraw your mind?
The world, in which you exist cease to exist without the mind because the world in which you exist itself is the mind.
All the objects of the world including you are within the world then how can you withdraw the mind?
The seeker has to investigate what this mind is supposed to be in actuality.
First, the seeker has to know ‘what is the mind” What is the substance of the mind? And ‘what is the Source of the mind? , in order to realize ‘what is what’? The ego is the physical mind, whereas the mind is present in the form of the universe. The universe appears as waking or dream (duality) and disappears as deep sleep (nonduality). Thus, a perfect understanding of ‘what is what’ is necessary to realize the form, time, and space is merely an illusion created out of single stuff. And that single stuff is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.
Until one thinks, his body as a body and the world as a world, it is impossible to grasp the non-dualistic or Advaitic truth, because his views and judgments are based on the physical ‘Self’ (ego or the waking entity or you) within the physical existence (waking).
The individuality is a reality with the waking experience, but the waking experience itself’ is a falsehood. Thus, holding the view as an individual within the false experience is erroneous from the ultimate point of view. The waking is a parallel dream and dream is a parallel waking experience.
Perfect understanding removes all sorts of obstacles in the pursuit of truth. Only through constant repetition of words in my posts will make one think differently, but it also creates more doubts and confusion in his subconscious and his inner urge to know the truth even more intense. And it also helps to overcome some of our conditioning, which we have inherited from parental grooming and circumstances. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar
