The Soul is the‘Self’ can remain with or without the ‘I’.+

The nature of the Soul is Advaitic awareness or Bliss. You will realize the ‘Self’ if you seek it earnestly. The cause of the world in which you exist is ignorance. Because of the ignorance the individual experience of birth, life, death, and the world is experienced as reality.

When you realize the ‘Self’ is not you but the ‘Self’ is the Soul, which is present in the form of the consciousness, the ignorance vanishes. When ignorance vanishes then the unreality of the individual experience of birth, life, death, and the world is exposed. In the same way, the unreal nature of the dream is exposed when waking takes.

If the unreality of the individual experience of birth, life, death, and the world is exposed then you and your world belong to the dualistic illusion or Maya. You are born, live, and dies within the world, which is the dualistic illusion or Maya, you cannot say ‘I AM THAT’ without realizing what the ‘Self is in actuality.

The ‘Self’ is neither an entity nor identity within the dualistic illusion but the ‘Self’ is the Soul, which is the cause of the illusory world in which you exist.

Remember, you are not the Self but the ‘self’ is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. You are the ego. Your existence is limited to form, time and space

You impose limitations on Soul by saying ‘I AM THAT-’ without knowing ‘what this ‘I’ is in actuality.

You are making a vain struggle to transcend the form, time, and space without realizing the ‘I’ itself is illusory.

‘I’ is not limited only to the ego. ‘I’ is the whole universe. Without the ‘I’ the universe ceases to exist. The ego-based teaching half-baked teaching.

Bhagavad Gita: ~ “You must first see the ‘I’ as illusory before you see others as illusory. ~ CH.2 v.16

First, realize what this ‘I’ supposed to be in actuality.

The ‘I’ is present only when the mind is present. Without the ‘I’ the mind ceases to exist.

The mind is present when the universe is present. Without mind, the universe ceases to exist.

The universe is present only when the waking is present. Without the universe, the waking ceases to exist.

So, without the ‘I’ the mind or universe or the waking cease to exist.

On the standpoint of the Soul is the innermost ‘Self’, the ‘I’ the mind or universe or the waking cease exists as a reality.

The Soul is the‘Self’ can remain with or without the ‘I’.

Slowly but surely you must imbibe the truth, which is beyond the form, time, and space by realizing the form, time and space are one in essence. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

Beliving and worshipping God based on blind belief is Superstition.+

Beliving and worshipping God based on blind belief is Superstition.

Superstition:~

People all over the world in the past and present accepted the idea of the existence of God. The fear of God injected by the religion was the root cause of worship, superstitions, and dogmas. Religious beliefs were passed on to the populace from one generation to the next generation.
It is necessary to realize what God is supposed to be to realize God in truth.
Sage Sankara said: ~Talk as much philosophy as you like, worship as many gods as you please, observe ceremonies, and sing devotional hymns, but liberation will never come, even after a hundred aeons, without realizing the Oneness.
Bhagavad Gita Chapter: ~ “All those whose intelligence has been stolen by material desires, they worship many God s. (7- Verse -20)
Swami Vivekananda: ~ “The masses in India cry to sixty million gods, and still die like dogs. Where are these gods? (In San Francisco, on May 28, 1900, of Swami Vivekananda/volume 1)
Religion breeds superstition because religion is based on blind belief. Whatever is based on blind belief is superstition.
God in truth is not based on blind belief. One must know what God suppose to be in truth. Without knowing what God is supposed to be in actuality worshipping blind belief based God is superstition.
Worshipping superstitious Gods barred by Vedas. Know what God is supposed to be according to Vedas Upanishads Bhagavad Gita and Bible.
Yajurveda – chapter- 32:~ God is Supreme Spirit has no ‘Pratima’ (idol) or material shape. God cannot be seen directly by anyone. God pervades all beings and all directions.

Idolatry does not find any support from the Vedas.
Rig Veda: ~ The Atman (Soul or Spirit) is the cause; Atman is the support of all that exists in this universe. May ye never turn away from the Atman, the Self. May ye never accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman?" (10:48, 5)
Brihadaranyaka Upanishad: ~ Brahman (God) is present in the form of the Athma, and it is indeed Athma itself.
Kena Upanishad (6) Chapter I: ~ “That which cannot be apprehended by the mind, but by which, they say, the mind is apprehended-That alone know as Brahman (God), and not that which people here worship.
Kena Upanishad (7) Chapter I: ~ That which cannot be perceived by the eye, but by which the eye is perceived-That alone know as Brahman (God), and not that which people here worship.
Kena Upanishad (8) Chapter I:~ That which cannot be heard by the ear, but by which the hearing is perceived-That alone know as Brahman(God), and not that which people here worship.
Kena Upanishad (9)- Chapter I:~ That which cannot be smelt by the breath, but by which the breath smells an object-That alone know as Brahman (God), and not that which people here worship.
Lord Krishna Says Ch. V:~ “Those who know me in truth.". The last two words (tattvataha) are usually ignored by pundits, but they make all the difference between the ordinary concept of God and the truth about God.
Bhagavad Gita says: ~ “Brahmano hi pratisthaham- Brahman (God) is considered the all-pervading consciousness which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material. (Gita 14.27)
When Bhagavad Gita says, God is considered the all-pervading consciousness which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material then nothing has to be accepted as God other than consciousness.
Vedas, Upanishad, and Bhagavad Gita confirm the Soul, the Self, is present in the form of the Spirit or the consciousness is God in truth.
Bible says: ~ “God is a Spirit, and they that worship God must worship God in spirit and in truth. (John 4:24)”,
The Spirit is the root element of the universe. The Spirit is present in the form of the Soul, the innermost Self. The Soul is present in the form of consciousness. From the Spirit, the universe comes into existence. In the Spirit, the universe resides. And into the Spirit, the universe is dissolved. The Spirit is the parent of all that is there is.
Swami Vivekananda: ~ “If superstition enters, the brain is gone. Superstition is our great enemy, but bigotry is worse.
Remember:~

How can you worship the Absolute? That implies two ~ the worshiper and the worshiped, whereas the Absolute is nondual. One can worship his idea of the Absolute only or realize his unity with it when he can’t worship it as apart.
The Upanishads say in effect that ~ If you believe that the ‘the Soul, the Self’ is one and God (Brahman) is another you cannot understand Truth.
The religion preaches that God is one and the ways to God are many. It simply tries to lead them to darkness with its dogma and idea of many Gods, which is apart from the Self.
Realizing consciousness, which is the cause of this universe in which exist is Truth- realization or Self-realization or God-realization.
When the expression itself is illusory, then the evolution within the illusory expression is bound to be an illusion. Thus, the evolution theory holds no water from the standpoint of the Soul, the Self.
Truth realization is Self-realization and Self-realization is God-realization and God-realization is real worship. : ~Santthosh Kumaar

Real God is not a religious God. Religious Gods are mythical Gods based on blind faith or belief.+

For the religious people rituals and worship are important than the scholastic and esoteric path of wisdom shown by Sage Sankara.

By worshipping Gods with form and attributes, repeating mantras is like watering barren soil. The seeker of truth should not waste life in empty formalities. Without realizing the world in which he exists is merely an illusion it is impossible to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.
First, realize what God supposed to be in actuality. Without knowing what god supposed to be in actuality according to your own scriptures what the use of loving God or worshipping God?
Real God is not a religious God. Religious Gods are mythical Gods based on blind faith or belief. Belief based Gods are a myth.
Mythological stories are a myth. Whatever is based on myth is merely a superstition. Mythology was introduced in the past for the ignorant masses. It has to be discarded as one progresses in his spiritual advancement.
Mythology breeds superstition, blind belief, and senseless rituals, and most irrational and gives them a divine outlook.
Brihadaranyaka Upanishad:~ "He who worships the deities as entities entirely separate from him does not know the truth. For the Gods, he is like a pasu (beast)". (1. 4. 10)
Bible says: ~ “God is a Spirit, and they that worship God must worship God in spirit and in truth (John 4:24)”,
The Spirit is the root element of the universe.
Religion can never make you know God because it propagates the belief as God. Only an intense urge to know what God supposed to be in truth can make you realize God.
The Soul, the ‘Self is the Infinite God.
The Soul is the Self. The Soul is God in truth, which is present in the form of consciousness. God in truth is the fullness of consciousness without the illusory division of form, time, and space. Therefore, there is nothing apart from it.
God in truth is Self-evident. God in truth is not established by extraneous proofs. It is not possible to deny God in truth because God in truth is the very essence of the one who denies it. God is the basis of all kinds of knowledge, presuppositions, and proofs. God in truth is hidden by the illusory universe in which you exist, the God in truth is without the universe in which you exist.
The Vedas confirms God is Atman (Spirit), the Self.
Yajurveda – chapter- 32: ~ God is Supreme Spirit has no ‘Pratima’ (idol) or material shape. God cannot be seen directly by anyone. God pervades all beings and all directions.

Idolatry does not find any support from the Vedas.
Brihadaranyaka Upanishad: ~ Brahman (God) is present in the form of the Athma, and it is indeed Athma itself.
People, who worship the belief of God, are hallucinating that they become one with such God.
Vedas itself says: May ye never accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman? Thus, to know the real God Self-realization is necessary. Self-realization is God-realization. Self-realization itself is real worship.
Rig Veda: ~ The Atman is the cause; Atman is the support of all that exists in this universe. May ye never turn away from the Atman, the Self. May ye never accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman?" (10:48, 5)
How can you worship God? That implies two ~ the worshipper and the worshiped, whereas God is nondual. One can worship his idea of God only or realize his unity with it when he can’t worship it as apart.
When Upanishads and Vedas declare that, “God in truth is present in the form of the Athma, and God is indeed Athma itself” then why accept another God in place of the Atman or worship other than the Atman.
God is the Supreme Being the One eternal homogeneous essence, indivisible consciousness, and intelligence, which is beyond the form, time, and space. To which the Sages describe in a variety of ways through diverse words.
Bhagavad Gita: ~ ‘All those whose intelligence has been stolen by material desires, they worship many Gods. (7- Verse -20)
Only the path of wisdom leads the seeker of truth on his journey to the ultimate realization of the true nature of the Universal Essence, which is the Soul. The Soul is present in the form of consciousness.
Bhagavad Gita: 7: 19:~ "Such a man who has attained true knowledge, the knowledge of Self, the knowledge of Atman, worships ‘Self’ as~ Atman (God) alone exists~ everything is Atman, there exists nothing except Atman. Such a man is extremely rare."
Bhagavad Gita: ~ Brahmano hi pratisthaham ~ Brahman (God) is considered the all-pervading consciousness, which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material. (14.27).
When Bhagavad Gita says, God is considered the all-pervading consciousness which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material then nothing has to be accepted as God other than consciousness.
Lord Krishna Says Ch ~V: ~ “Those who know the Self in truth.". The last two words (tattvataha) are usually ignored by pundits, but they make all the difference between the ordinary concept of God and the truth about God.
The dualistic worship of "God” is only for the ignorant populace. The God in truth is only Atman, the Self. In reality, there is no duality, no differentiation. Only Atman exists. : ~

Those who are seeking truth need not follow any Guru or any teaching.+

Some modern Gurus talk of surrendering to God without knowing what God supposed to be in truth. Just by saying open your heart and surrender nothing happens. Playing with the words and playing with the emotions leads only to hallucinations.

The Guru who pretends to be Self- realized and plays with the emotions and sentiments of the seeker is a fraud, not a Gnani.
Only a perfect understanding of what is what’ leads to truth realization. The truth-realization is Self-realization. Self-realization is God-realization.
If you are seeking truth nothing but the truth then you must not get stuck with any Guru or yogi. Those who are seeking truth need not follow any Guru or any teaching.
Yoga Vasistha says: ~ Self-knowledge or knowledge of truth is not had by resorting to a Guru (preceptor) nor by the study of scripture, nor by good works: it is attained only by means of inquiry inspired by the company of wise (Gnani). One’s inner light alone is the means, naught else. When this inner light is kept alive, it is not affected by the darkness of inertia.
There is no need to condemn Gurus, but there is a need to highlight how they become an obstacle to realize the ultimate truth or Brahman.
Swami Vivekananda said: ~ “You have to grow from the inside out. None can teach you; none can make you spiritual. There is no other teacher, but your own Soul.”
The Guru is useless so long as the ultimate truth is unknown, and the Guru is equally useless when the ultimate truth or Brahman has already been known.
A Guru is needed in religious and the yogic path. There is no need for a Guru to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana. : ~
Santthosh Kumaar

All the Gurus glorified the ‘I’. Thus, it becomes very difficult to discard the ‘I’.+

All the Gurus glorified the ‘I’. Thus, it becomes very difficult to discard the ‘I’. Those who have accepted the ‘I’ based teaching refuse to accept anything other than their accepted truth.

Until you hold the ‘Self’ as the ‘I’, your knowledge remains skin deep.

What is it that appears as the ‘I’ and disappears as the ‘I-less?

It is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.

Do not make the mistake of holding the ‘I’ as the Self because it is not permanent. ‘I’ disappears and becomes ‘I’-less.

‘I’ is an illusion and the ‘I-LESS’ is real and eternal. The ‘I-LESS ‘appears as ‘I’ and ‘I ’‘disappears as I-LESS.

Bhagavad Gita: ~ “The permanent is always there, only the transient ‘I’ comes and goes. (2.18)

The ‘I’ hides the Soul, the God in truth

That is why Bhagavad Gita: ~ ‘The permanent (consciousness) is always there, only the transient ‘I’ comes and goes. (2.18)

People think the ‘I’ without the body is the Self. The seeker has to understand the fact that ‘I’ is not the Self, but the witness of the ‘I’ is the true Self, which is eternal.

That is why Ashtavakra Gita 16:10: ~ If you desire liberation, but you still say "I," If you feel the ‘Self’ is the ‘I’, You are not a wise man or a seeker. You are simply a man who suffers.

Remember this:- “The ‘Self’ is not the ‘I’ but the ‘Self’ is the Soul, the witness of the ‘I’, which comes and goes.

There is nothing to realize other than realizing the fact that, you and the world in which you exist are created out of single stuff and that single stuff is the Soul, the innermost self. The Soul is present in the form of consciousness. Thus, you and the world in which you exist is nothing but consciousness. Thus, by realizing this truth the Soul becomes free from the cage of the illusory form, time, and space. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

By observing silence and stilling the thoughts within the illusory dualistic world Self-realization is an impossibility.+

By observing the silence and stilling the thoughts nothing is gained. By observing silence and stilling the thoughts within the illusory dualistic world Self-realization is an impossibility.

Non-dualistic silence is the nature of the Soul, the Self. Non-dualistic silence is like a deep sleep state where the waking experience is absent.
If the waking experience is absent then there is neither thinker nor thought nor the world.
Non-dualistic silence is possible only in Self-awareness. Self-awareness is possible only when there is no trace of ignorance. Ignorance vanishes only when Advaitic wisdom dawns.
Advaitic Wisdom is possible only when you realize the Self is not you but the Self the Soul, the witnesses the coming and going of the 'I'.
Just because some Guru or teacher said to observe silence it only means, to imitate the nature of the nondual Soul, Self.
By imitating the nature of the Soul, the ignorance will not vanish. Without getting rid of the ignorance the Advaitic wisdom will not dawn.
By observing the silence and stilling the thoughts will not lead one to Self-realization. :~Santthosh Kumaar

Freedom comes only when you unfold the mystery of the ‘I’. The Soul, the Self is in the illusory cage of the ‘I’.+

Freedom comes only when you unfold the mystery of the ‘I’. The Soul, the Self is in the illusory cage of the ‘I’.

The ‘I’ is the dualistic illusion or Maya. Only the Advaitic wisdom of Sage Sankara unfolds the mystery of the ‘I’.

Remember, the ‘I’ is not an individual because the ‘I’ is the whole universe. Limiting the ‘I’ to individuality is the cause of experiencing the dualistic illusion of reality.

The nature of the ‘I’ is the nature of the mind.

The nature of the mind is the nature of the universe.

The nature of the universe is the nature of the waking.

The nature of waking is the nature of the illusion.

Thus, it is necessary to study the nature of the ‘I’ to unfold the mystery of the universe.

All the teachings limit the ‘I’ to an individual and glorify the ‘I’ without knowing what this ‘I’ supposed to be in actuality. All ‘I’ based teachings are inadequate and useless for the serious seeker of truth.

If you are seeking truth nothing but the truth must discard without mercy such teaching in order to progress in your spiritual quest.

The seeker must know the ‘I’ is not limited to individuality. The seeker has to see the ‘I’ as the universe, in order to overcome ignorance. When the Advaitic wisdom dawns, then the ignorance vanishes.

When ignorance vanishes and the dualistic illusion (world) you used to think as reality becomes unreal.

Remember:~

The ‘Self’ noting permanent and the ‘I’, is impermanent. The ‘I’, which appears and disappears is not the Self. The Self is hidden by the ‘I’. the ‘I’ is perishable whereas the Self is imperishable.

That is why Bhagavad Gita: ~ “The permanent is always there, only the transient ‘I’ comes and goes. (2.18)

Why are you struggling to find out who you are? You will never find the answer if you get stuck to the ‘I’. Find out ‘what is this ‘I’, which appears and disappears. What is that is aware of the coming and going of the ‘I’?

Without realizing ‘What is this ‘I’?- you will never be able to realize the mystery of the ‘I’. The ‘I’ is the most intoxicating stuff. Those who use the word ‘I’ for the ‘Self ‘will never be able to cross the threshold of the dualistic illusion.

The ‘I-centric teachings will not transport the seeker to the ultimate end of understanding.

The ‘I’ is the cage for the Soul. ‘I’ is the cause of ignorance. Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana is the only weapon to get rid of ignorance.

The ‘I’ based teachings will not transport the seeker to the ultimate end of understanding. Perfect understanding of ‘what is this ‘I’ leads to the realization of the truth beyond the form, time, and space.

That is why Ashtavakra Gita 16:10:~ If you desire liberation, but you still say 'I'," If you feel the ‘Self’ is the ‘I’, you are not a wise man or a seeker. You are simply a man who suffers: ~ Santthosh Kumaar

What is the use of saying I AM THAT when the ‘Self’ is not you but the ‘Self’ is the Soul.+

What is the use of saying I AM THAT when the ‘Self’ is not you but the ‘Self’ is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness?

Your existence is limited to form, time, and space whereas the Soul, the Self is a formless, timeless, and spaceless existence.

People say I AM THAT ~ I am God, I am Brahman. But when Brahman is, how can "I" remain? Only Brahman remains, not I, it is erroneous to use the word ‘I’ for the Self, because ‘I’ represents the form, time, and space whereas the Soul, the Self is formless, timeless, and spaceless existence.

Bhagavad Gita: ~ The permanent is always there, only the transient ‘I’ comes and goes. (2.18)

The ‘I’ disappears as deep sleep, so what is the use of being attached to it? It is impermanent and illusory because ‘I’ is physical awareness. Physical awareness is not Self-awareness. ‘I-less awareness is Self-awareness.

Bhagavad Gita: ~ “You must first see the ‘I’ as illusory before you see others as illusory. ~ CH.2 v.16

It is erroneous to identify the Soul the Self as 'I' or 'I AM' because the Soul, the Self is not 'I' or I AM’. The Soul, the Self, is that witness of the 'I'.

To realize the false nature of the ‘I’, the Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana is necessary.

The Self is not ‘I’, but the Self is the Soul which is the witness of the ‘I’. Holding the ‘I as the Self leads to hallucination based on the imagination. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

Until you hold the ‘you-centric’ Gurus and their teaching as final, you are caught up in the spider web of ignorance.+

Since we see the world as the world, we are unaware of the ‘Self’ hidden by the world, which is the dualistic illusion.

Without a perfect understanding of ‘what is what’, it is impossible to realize the ‘Self hidden by the world in which you exist. Without Advaitic Gnana the world in which you exist prevails as a reality.

The thoughts, thinker, and the world are nothing to do with the Soul, the Self because the thoughts, thinker, and the world are part and parcel of the universe, which is the dualistic illusion or Maya.

The truth is not based on you because the Self is not you but the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. The Soul is the witness and you and the world in which you exist is part of the witnessed.

The Soul is the subject and you and the world in which you exist is an object to the Soul, the subject.

Until you hold the ‘you-centric’ Gurus and their teaching as final you are caught up in the spider web of ignorance.

By finding out the source of the thoughts the ignorance will not vanish. By finding out to whom the thoughts come the truth will not reveal. Thoughts arise to the person within the waking or dream. The thinker is the form. Without form, time, and space the thinking is an impossibility. The thoughts form only in the domain of the form, time, and space. The form, time, and space belong to the dualistic illusion. Thus, the thinker & the thought belong to the universe, which is the dualistic illusion or Maya.

Thus, thinker and thoughts are part of the known. The witness of the knower and known is formless, timeless, and spaceless existence

Thoughts and thinker are nothing to do with the formless witness. The witness is that witnesses the thoughts, thinker, and the world together and hidden by the waking or dream as their formless substance.

People think that the more they think, the more they will get; but it is really an error. It remains only a thought and gives them back only thoughts. Anything is seen, observed, cannot be the Self or the Witness because the Self is hidden by the whole illusory universe ~ Santthosh Kumaar

Self-awareness is the objectless awareness in the midst of the objects (waking).+

How is one to know the real Self? To think of the Soul the Self as an object, as something that can be known and experienced is a fallacy.

All that is known within the waking or dream is a fallacy because the three states are objects to the Soul which is the formless subject. The subject (Soul) is within the object but it is without the object.

The Soul is always formless, timeless, and spaceless existence, because it is not an entity or identity within the waking or dream it pervades in everything and everywhere in all the three states.

People think that to withdraw from all sense-activity or from all thoughts or from worldly experiences, i.e., to cease to be active, is the highest state but it is not so.

All the senses, thoughts, and individual experiences, and the world are present only in waking or dream. The waking or the dream (duality) disappears as the deep sleep (nonduality).

Remember:~

Self –awareness is objectless awareness in the midst of the objects (waking).

A Gnani is consciously aware of the Soul, the Self in the midst of the world in which he exists. The Soul is present in the form of consciousness.

In Self-awareness, the ego is not considered as ego, even though the ego is present, the body is not considered as a body even though the body is present, the world which confronts him is not considered as world even though the world is present, the duality ceases even though the duality is present, because of wisdom everything is considered as consciousness. Thus, there is conscious oneness. That is unity in diversity.

Only in ignorance, the world in which we exist is an illusion created out of the Soul, the ‘Self’, which is present in the form of consciousness.

The world is both real and unreal. It is real because it is a manifestation of consciousness, but is unreal, in the sense, that it is not absolute and eternal like consciousness itself.

People's approach is more practical, and they stuck with the reality of the world, they take it as real. That is why all the confusion.

The look of an object will depend upon the medium through which the observer views it. In fact, our mental and intellectual conditions determine the world, observed, and experienced. The commoner viewing the world will see differently from a Gnani viewing the same world. Each one interprets the world that they see in terms of their existing knowledge. The commoner sees everything based on the ego, therefore, experiences the birth, life, death, and the world as a reality, whereas a Gnani sees everything as consciousness and he is fully aware of the fact that, there is no second thing that exists other than the Soul or consciousness. Thus, all the egocentric (religious) adulteration has to be bifurcated to realize the ultimate truth, which is beyond form, time, and space.

The Soul, the Self, which is present in the form of consciousness itself, is the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth.

The Soul is the Self. The Soul is present in the form of consciousness. The Soul is the witness-consciousness that experiences the action, the actor, and the world of separate things. It is like a light that illuminates everything in a theatre, revealing the master of ceremonies, the guests, and the dancers with complete impartiality. Even when they all depart, the light shines to reveal their absence. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar
