According to Sage Sankara, the Atmic path is not meant for the religious and yogic mindset.+

According to Sage  Sankara, the Atmic path is not meant for the religious and yogic mindset.

There is no need to convince anyone and waste time in perverted arguments and provocation.

The seeker's aim is to think deeply reflect constantly to realize the truth, which is beyond the form, time, and space.

The ignorant who want to remain in ignorance is not qualified for the Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.

The Atmic path is not for the religious and yogic minded people. Religious and yogic people must move on their chosen path. The Atmic path is for only seekers of truth who are seriously searching for the truth of their own existence.

Sages of truth restrained themselves parting the Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana to the mass and only a selected few. It was hidden from the people who were not qualified and receptive to it. Self- it was given knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana was not written down but was imparted orally to the chosen few. Thus, religion was given to the mass, and knowledge of the spirit is given only a selected few. Thus we find traces of the knowledge of the Spirit in the religious books in the form of parables.

Katha Upanishad says: ~ This Atman is attained by him alone whom It chooses. To such a one Atman reveals Its own form. (II -23-P-20)

Upanishads:~ Fools dwelling in darkness, but thinking they wise and erudite, go round and round, by various tortuous paths, like the blind led by the blind. (Upanishads Nikilanada -( Ch II-5 P-14)

The Soul, the 'Self' reveals ‘what is real’ and ‘what is unreal” when the seeker is receptive and ready

Do not believe in a thing because you have read about it in a book. Do not believe in a thing because a wise man has said it was true. Do not believe in words because they are hallowed by dualistic knowledge Find out the truth for yourself. Use Soulcentric reason, which leads to the realization of the truth, which is beyond the form, time, and space

Advaitic wisdom can never be gained by argument and provocation. Discard all the accumulated dualistic knowledge by realizing the world in which you exist, exists because of ignorance. Get rid of the ignorance by realizing the world in which you exist is created out of single clay and that single clay is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. Realizing the ‘Self’’ is not you but the Soul is Self-realization. The Soul is the cause of the universe and it itself is uncaused.

Katha Upanishad says ~ Fools dwelling in darkness, but thinking themselves wise and erudite, go round and round, by various tortuous paths, like the blind led by the blind. (Ch~ II-5 P-14)

Those who indulge in a perverted argument from their own standpoint and opinion are not seeking the truth, which is beyond form, time, and space. They just want to exhibit their accumulated knowledge accumulated from here and there. They think what they know is the ultimate truth.

They think whatever they propagate is the ultimate truth. The question never occurs to them, “Is what I know is really the truth: ~ Santthosh Kumaar

All the objects belong to the universe, which is a dualistic illusion or Maya. The 'I' itself is the dualistic illusion or Maya.+

All the objects belong to the universe, which is a dualistic illusion or Maya. The 'I' itself is the dualistic illusion or Maya.

The 'I' is not limited to an individual because the 'I' is the whole universe.

Without the 'I' the universe ceases to exist. the 'I' is nothing to with the Soul, the Self, which is present in the form of the consciousness.

The 'I' is an object to the Soul, the Self, which is the subject. The 'I' is nothing to do with the Soul, the Self.

Remember:~

The ‘Self’ noting permanent and the ‘I’, is impermanent. The ‘I’, which appears and disappears is not the Self. The Self is hidden by the ‘I’. the ‘I’ is perishable whereas the Self is imperishable.

That is why Bhagavad Gita: ~ “The permanent is always there, only the transient ‘I’ comes and goes. (2.18)

Why are you struggling to find out who you are? You will never find the answer if you get stuck to the ‘I’. Find out ‘what is this ‘I’, which appears and disappears. What is that is aware of the coming and going of the ‘I’?

Without realizing ‘What is this ‘I’?- you will never be able to realize the mystery of the ‘I’. The ‘I’ is the most intoxicating stuff. Those who use the word ‘I’ for the ‘Self ‘will never be able to cross the threshold of the dualistic illusion.

The ‘I’ based teachings will not transport the seeker to the ultimate end of understanding.

The ‘I’ is the cage for the Soul. ‘I’ is the cause of ignorance. Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana is the only weapon to get rid of ignorance.

The ‘I’ based teachings will not transport the seeker to the ultimate end of understanding. Perfect understanding of ‘what is this ‘I’ leads to the realization of the truth beyond the form, time, and space.

That is why Ashtavakra Gita 16:10:~ If you desire liberation, but you still say 'I'," If you feel the ‘Self’ is the ‘I’, you are not a wise man or a seeker. You are simply a man who suffers.

Remember:~

The look of an object will depend upon the medium through which the observer views it. In fact, our mental and intellectual conditions determine the object (three states), observed, and experienced. The commoner viewing the object (three states) will see differently from a Gnani viewing the same three states. Each one interprets the three states that they see in terms of their existing knowledge. The commoner sees everything based on the ego, therefore, object (the world in which he exists as a reality), whereas a Gnani sees everything as the consciousness and he is fully aware of the fact that, there is no second thing exists other than the Soul or the consciousness (subject). Thus, all the objective observation has to be bifurcated to realize the ultimate truth, which is beyond form, time, and space. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

Sage Sankara's Advaitic wisdom exposes the falsity of the religion and religious Gods.

Sage Sankara's Advaitic wisdom exposes the falsity of the religion and religious Gods.

God in truth is not religious. God in truth is Spirit. God is universal and belongs to the whole of humanity.

If God is Spirit then God is universal. There is no Hindu God or Christian God because the Vedas and Bible say the Spirit is God.

God in truth belongs to the whole of humanity. All the religious Gods based on blind faith or beliefs are mythical Gods.

We may belong to a different religion, belief, culture, tradition and lineage, nationality, and race.

We are a separate entity with identity with names with diverse blood groups, DNA, skin color.

With all this diversity there is unity because the world in which our birth, life, and death take place is created out of single clay. That single clay is the consciousness.

Knowledge of this single clay brings unity to diversity. Knowledge of this single clay is Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.

There is a need for humanity to realize we all are made of the same clay and that clay is consciousness. Consciousness is God in truth.

Advaitic wisdom of Sage Sankara is the only weapon that can stop the wars, violence, terrorism, which is going in the name of God and religion, and bring universal peace, universal love, and universal brotherhood.

Religion makes diversity in unity whereas spirituality brings unity in diversity.

Remember:~

God is the Soul, the Self, which is present in the form of consciousness. The consciousness pervades in everything and everywhere in the universe because the universe is nothing but a dualistic illusion or Maya created out of the consciousness.

The universe is the product of ignorance. It is the Soul that is in ignorance. The Soul has to be awakened from its sleep of ignorance. In order to awaken the Soul, the Self you should realize the ‘Self’ is not you but the ‘Self is the Soul by constant remembering of the Soul.

When the Soul the ‘Self wakes up in the midst of the dualistic illusion or Maya the ignorance vanishes the Soul sees itself as it is without the form, time and space even in the midst of the illusory form, time and space.

The Soul, the God is impersonal. The only way to approach God is by Acquiring the Advaitic wisdom of Sage Sankara.

Sage Sankara’s Supreme Brahman (God) is impersonal, Nirguna (without Gunas or attributes), Nirakara (formless), Nirvisesha (without special characteristics), immutable, eternal, and Akarta (non-agent). It is above all needs and desires. It is always the Witnessing Subject. It can never become an object as it is beyond the reach of the senses. Brahman is non-dual, one without a second. It has no other beside it. It is destitute of difference, either external or internal. Brahman cannot be described because the description implies a distinction. Brahman cannot be distinguished from any other than It. In Brahman, there is not a distinction between substance and attribute. Sat-Chit-Ananda constituted the very essence or Svarupa of Brahman, and not just Its attributes. The Nirguna Brahman of Sage Sankara is impersonal.

Constant remembrance of the nature of God leads to Self-awareness, which itself is God-awareness.: Santthosh Kumaar

Rig Veda: ~ The Atman is the cause; Atman is the support of all that exists in this universe.+

The Soul, the ‘Self’ is the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth. The Soul, the fullness of the consciousness, the nature of the Soul is absolute Existence.

The Soul is not an individual it is not within the body but hidden by the illusory world in which you exist. In reality, the world in which you exist is non-existence itself.

Knowledge of the individual God is not Advaita. Those who propagate the individual Gods as the real are ignorant of their true existence.

The Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness, is the true existence. The true existence is God. Advaita is the nature of true existence. Advaita is the nature of God. Advaita is God itself.

Even Bhagavad Gita says: ~ Brahmano hi pratisthaham ~ Brahman (God) is considered the all-pervading consciousness, which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material. (14.27).

When Bhagavad Gita says, God is considered the all-pervading consciousness which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material then nothing has to be accepted as God other than consciousness.

Even Brihadaranyaka Upanishad: ~ Brahman (God in truth) is present the form of the Athma, and it is indeed Athma itself.

Religious Gods are based on blind belief. Religious God cannot be considered as the center because the Soul, the innermost ‘Self’ is the center of all that exists. Without the Soul, the world in which you exist ceases to exist, which means the religious God is dependent on the Soul for his existence.

Even Rig Veda: ~ The Atman is the cause; Atman is the support of all that exists in this universe. May ye never turn away from the Atman the innermost self. May ye never accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman?" (10:48, 5)

Brihadaranyaka Upanishad:~ "He who worships the deities as entities entirely separate from him does not know the truth. For the Gods, he is like a pasu (beast)". (1. 4. 10)

Bhagavad Gita Chapter:~ All those whose intelligence has been stolen by material desires, they worship many God s. (7- Verse -20)

Kena Upanishad (6) Chapter I: ~ “That which cannot be apprehended by the mind, but by which, they say, the mind is apprehended-That alone know as Brahman, and not that which people here worship.

Kena Upanishad (7) Chapter I:~ That which cannot be perceived by the eye, but by which the eye is perceived-That alone know as Brahman and not that which people here worship.

Kena Upanishad (8) Chapter I:~ That which cannot be heard by the ear, but by which the hearing is perceived-That alone know as Brahman and not that which people here worship.

Kena Upanishad (9)- Chapter I:~ That which cannot be smelt by the breath, but by which the breath smells an object-That alone know as Brahman, and not that which people here worship.

How can you worship the Absolute? That implies two ~ the worshipper and the worshipped, whereas the Absolute is nondual. One can worship his idea of the Absolute only or realize his unity with it when he can’t worship it as apart.

The Upanishads say in effect that ~ If you believe that the ‘the Soul, the innermost Self’ is one and God (Brahman) is another you cannot understand Truth.

Consciousness is ever-present. Without consciousness, the world, in which you exist ceases to exist. The consciousness is Self-evident. It is not established by extraneous proofs. It is not possible to deny consciousness because it is the very essence of the one who denies it. The consciousness is the basis of all kinds of knowledge, presuppositions, and proofs. The consciousness is everything. Thus, consciousness is the ultimate truth or Brahman or God.

Knowledge of the Soul, the Self, is Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana. Atma Gnana is knowledge of God. Realizing God in this very life is your goal. God-realization itself is real worship. : ~
Santthosh Kumaar

All the Gurus of the east and the west are based on the dualistic perspective. The dualistic knowledge is egocentric knowledge.+

A donkey with a load of holy books is still a donkey. A person who mastered scriptures is still a scholar, not a Gnani.

All the Gurus of the east and the west are based on the dualistic perspective. The dualistic knowledge is egocentric. All egocentric Advaita or nonduality is based on the imagination. All imagined Advaita is will not help to cross the domain of the form, time, and space.

The egocentric knowledge keeps the Soul in the intoxication of the ‘I’. The ‘I’ hides the whole truth. The Gurus and the teachers of the nonduality of the east and west are stuck up with their own accepted truth gathered from here and there and Their egoic attitude blocks than by realizing the Advaita hidden by the dvaita, which is present in the form of the ‘I’.
Mundaka Upanishad: ~ So-called spiritual pundits and learned are called children because a child takes whatever it thinks as truth. The question never occurs to children “Is what I have seen or thought really the truth?" (P.334 line 9)
Scriptures are not needed in pursuit of truth. Even the Upanishads and the Advaitic Sages declare the same.
The ultimate truth has to be ascertained without the scriptures by realizing the Self is neither the waking entity nor the dream entity but the Self is Soul which is present in the form of consciousness. In the realm of truth the form, time, and space are created out of single stuff. That single stuff is consciousness.
Realizing the single stuff as the ultimate truth is Self-realization or truth realization. To realize this truth, there is no need for scriptures.
The ultimate truth has to be realized first then only it is possible to know what the scriptures are saying.
That is why Sage Sankara declares: ~ VC 56. Neither by Yoga, nor by Sankhya, nor by good work, nor by learning, but by the realization of one's identity with Brahman is Liberation possible, and by no other means.

58. Loud speech consisting of a shower of words, the skill in expounding the Scriptures, and likewise erudition - these merely bring on a little personal enjoyment to the scholar but are no good for Liberation.
59. The study of the Scriptures is useless so long as the highest Truth is unknown, and it is equally useless when the highest Truth has already been known.
60. The Scriptures consisting of many words are a dense forest that merely causes the mind to ramble. Hence, men of wisdom should earnestly set about knowing the true nature of the Self.
Advaita is the nature of the Soul. Advaita is second to none. Advaita is universal wisdom reveals on its own to all the serious and sincere seekers of truth. : ~
Santthosh Kumaar

Sage Sankara also said the study of Upanishad was neither indispensable nor a necessary pre-requisite for attaining the human goal, the moksha.+

Ashtavakra:~There is no wisdom whatsoever in the scriptures-just a collection of words. Mastering various scriptures and by accumulating knowledge you cannot establish in the ‘Self’ unless you forget all.

The seeker should not bother about finding the meaning of what is written in the scriptures.

To argue with a religious person who has renounced the use of reason is like injecting medicine into a corpse.

Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana cannot be surmised by merely reading the Vedas and Upanishads.

Sage Sankara also said the study of Upanishad was neither indispensable nor a necessary pre-requisite for attaining the human goal, the moksha.

Sage Sankara says even those who were outside the Upanishad fold were as eligible to moksha as those within the fold were. He declared that all beings are Brahman, and therefore the question of discrimination did not arise. All that one was required to do was to get rid of ignorance (Avidya or duality).
Sage Sankara says: - VC-47 All the effects of ignorance, root, and branch, are burnt down by the fire of knowledge, which arises from discrimination between these two—the Self and the not-Self.
Sage Sankara: ~ VC Let erudite scholars quote all the Scripture, let Gods be invoked through sacrifices, let elaborate rituals be performed, let personal Gods be propitiated---yet, without the realization of one‘s identity With the Self, there shall be no liberation for the individual, not even in the lifetimes of a hundred Brahmas put together (verses-6)
Sage Sankara said: ~ Talk as much philosophy as you like, worship as many gods as you please, observe ceremonies and sing devotional hymns, but liberation will never come, even after a hundred aeons, without realizing the Oneness.
That is why Sage Sankara says: ~ VC 56.
61. For one who has been bitten by the serpent of Ignorance, the only remedy is the knowledge of Brahman. Of what avail are the Vedas and (other) Scriptures, Mantras (sacred formulae), and medicines to such a one?
62. A disease does not leave off if one simply utters the name of the medicine, without taking it; (similarly) without direct realization one cannot be liberated by the mere utterance of the word Brahman.
63. Without causing the objective universe to vanish and without knowing the truth of the Self, how is one to achieve Liberation by the mere utterance of the word Brahman? — It would result merely in an effort of speech.
64. Without killing one’s enemies, and possessing oneself of the splendor of the entire surrounding region, one cannot claim to be an emperor by merely saying, ‘I am an emperor’.
65. As a treasure hidden underground requires (for its extraction) competent instruction, excavation, the removal of stones and other such things lying above it and (finally) grasping, but never comes out by being (merely) called out by name, so the transparent Truth of the Self, which is hidden by Maya and its effects, is to be attained through the instructions of a knower of Brahman, followed by reflection, meditation and so forth, but not through perverted arguments.
66. Therefore, the wise should, as in the case of disease and the like, personally strive by all the means in their power to be free from the bondage of repeated births and deaths.
Then there is no need for the scriptures, religion, and religious ideas of God. One has to be more rational to realize the Advaitic truth, which is the ultimate truth or scientific truth.: ~Santthosh Kumaar

The theologians, religious heads religious Gurus, Swamis, and yogis, these people dominate the ignorant crowd, and they are not Gnanis. +

The theologians, religious heads religious Gurus, Swamis, and yogis, these people dominate the ignorant crowd, and they are not Gnanis. They simply go on fabricating beautiful words and theories and creating hallucinating ignorant people. With their skill of expounding, The religious propagated myth, with ornamental words.

Religion is based on the false self, therefore, it has a false foundation whereas spirituality or Adyathma is based on the Soul, the real Self.
The Soul is the cause of this universe and it itself is uncaused. The seeker of truth should not mix the Atmic path with the religious or yogic path.
The Guru Parampara is a religious tradition. The Guru is a great religious teacher who guides the ignorant populace with the religious code of conduct ethics and morals to behave and live, love in harmony within the society.
The Gurus and Saints introduced societal reform from time to time to uplift the lives of the populace.
The Gurus and Yogis are indulging in non-~Vedic worships and rituals barred by Vedas and Upanishads. Religious Gods are mere beliefs. Belief is not God. God in truth is only the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.
Even Bhagavad Gita says: ~ Brahmano hi pratisthaham ~ Brahman (God) is considered the all-pervading consciousness, which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material. (14.27).

Mundaka Upanishad: - The study of the Vedas, linguistics, Rituals, astronomy, and all the arts can be called lower knowledge. The higher is that which leads to Self-realization. The eye cannot see it; the mind cannot grasp it. The deathless 'Self' has neither caste nor race, neither eyes nor ears nor hands nor feet. Sages say this Self is infinite in the great and in the small, everlasting and changeless, the source of life.
The Guru is useless so long as the ultimate truth is unknown, and the Guru is equally useless when the ultimate truth or Brahman has already been known.
Guru is needed in the religious and yogic path. The Soul is the inner Guru. :~Santthosh Kumaar

There is no use of arguing holding the egocentric accumulated knowledge as a yardstick.+

To argue with a person who has renounced the use of reason is like injecting medicine into a corpse.

A Gnani never indulges in an argument. By arguing the wisdom will not dawn. The argument is a great hindrance in the path of wisdom. There is no use in arguing holding the egocentric accumulated knowledge as a yardstick.

Accumulated knowledge is the egocentric dualistic truth. The egocentric truth is not Advaitic wisdom.

There are so many gurus and yogis, but their knowledge of Advaita is based on the dualistic perspective. Humility and patience are required to realize the truth which is beyond form, time, and space.

Sage Sankara clearly indicates in Viveka Chudamani (2) that the Knower of the Atman (A Gnani) "bears no outward mark of a holy man" (stanza 539).

A Gnani wears no signs it means he does not identify himself as Guru or teacher or swami. Thus, it is not necessary to become a sanyasi or a yogi or a swami to acquire Self-knowledge, or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.

Sage Sankara page 482: On Gnani: "The knower of Brahman wears no signs. Gives up the insignia of a monk's life…his signs are not manifest, nor his behavior."

When the knower of Brahman (Gnani) wears no signs then it means he does not identify himself as Guru or yogi or teacher or Swami.

Sage Sankara: ~ "Though I wear these robes of a Sanyasin, it is only for the sake of bread."

Sage Sankara, in his work The Crest Jewel of Discrimination (1) or as it is sometimes known, Viveka Chudamani (2), states that the Knower of the Atman (i.e., a Gnani) "bears no outward mark of a holy man" (Stanza 539).

Sage Sankara writes on Gnani: ~“Sometimes he appears to be a Fool, sometimes a wise man. Sometimes he seems splendid as a king, sometimes feeble-minded. Sometimes he is calm and silent. Sometimes he draws men to him. Sometimes people honor him greatly, sometimes they insult him. Sometimes they ignore him.

Unless one realizes the Soul as the Self as it really is” it is impossible to realize the non-dualistic or Advaitic truth

It is of no use of discussing birth, rebirth within the unreal world. Instead, one has to find how this world is unreal (illusion).

The Soul, the  ‘Self’ is the subject matter in Atmic discussion. Thus, the seeker has to learn to view and judge the truth on the non-dualistic perspective.

The world in which you exist is a reality on the dualistic perspective. On the non-dualistic perspective, you and the world are merely an illusion.

Why discuss about the practical life within the practical world, when the Self is not you.

The serious seeker silently listens or reads and thinks deeply and verifies. The seeker accepts only the uncontradictable truth and rejects what is not the truth.

It is no use discussing with the people who try to exhibit their accumulated knowledge, which diverts attention from Atmic discussion.

That is why Bhagavad Gita says: ~ “Don't unsettle the minds of ignorant by revealing the esoteric truth."

That is why the Advaitic sages restrained themselves from parting the Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana people who are unqualified and gave it only to the few. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

Mundaka Upanishad says: ~ The rituals and the sacrifices described in the Vedas deal with lower knowledge.+

Sage Sankara varied his practical advice and doctrinal teaching according to the people he was amongst. He never told them to give their particular religion or beliefs or metaphysics completely; he only told them to give up the worst features of abuse: at the same time he showed just one step forward towards the truth.

Sage Sankara says in Brahma Sutras: that Brahman is the cause of the world, whereas in Mandukya he denies it.

Sage Gaudapada says: -The merciful Veda teaches karma and upasana to people of lower and middling intellect, while jnana is taught to those of higher intellect.

Sage Sankara says in Brahma Sutras: that Brahman is the cause of the world, whereas in Manduka he denies it.

Brahma Sutras, i.e. "Vedanta Sutras" by Badarayana, are intended for those of middling intellects, not for those who have the best brains: it is a semi-theological, semi-philosophical work; it starts with the assumption that Brahman exists.

The doctrine of causality taught in Brahma Sutra is not the same as our highest Advaitic non-causality. It is only a beginning towards that; it says that you do not find in the effect what is not already present in the cause.

The Sutra-Bhashya of Sage Sankara principally deals with the principle of superimposition yet the pundits have not grasped its higher semantic value.

Brahma Sutras begin with the dogma of Brahman but who has seen Brahman? It is a mere empty word like 'x'. Hence it is called a book of religion, not philosophy. It is for beginners who have not yet unfolded discrimination, who believe in creation (i.e. causality).

The opening sentence is "All this is Brahman.” But nobody knows or has seen Brahman. If we say "All this is wood" and show a piece of wood, the words are understandable. Suppose you have never seen wood. Then what is the use of such a sentence? It becomes meaningless when the object indicated is seen by none. Hence the Brahma Sutra opening is equivalent to "All this is X". Both have no meaning so long as they are not understood if we take them as the data to start from. It is for this reason such books are intended for a theological mindset because it begins with dogma although its reasoning is close. For it starts with something imagined.

Brahma Sutras together with Sage Sankara's commentary thereon do not contain higher Vedanta. They are intended for duffers.

Sage Sankara's commentary on Brahma Sutras is not on a philosophical basis, but on a religio-mystic one, with an appeal to Vedas as the final authority. In Brahma Sutra Sage Sankara takes the position that there is another entity outside us, i.e. the wall really exists separately from the mind. This was because Sage Sankara explains in Manduka Upanishad that those who study the Sutras are religious minds, intellectual children, hence his popular viewpoint to assist them.

These people are afraid to go deeper because it means being heroic enough to refuse to accept Sruti, and God's authority, in case they mean punishment by God. But we say: Keep the scriptures for children but throw them on the fire for wise seekers.

Remember:~

Mundaka Upanishad says: ~ “The rituals and the sacrifices described in the Vedas deal with lower knowledge. The sages ignored these rituals and went in search of higher knowledge. ... Such rituals are unsafe rafts for crossing The sea of samsara, of birth and death. Doomed to shipwreck are those who try to cross The sea of samsara on these poor rafts. Ignorant of their own ignorance, yet wise In their own esteem, these deluded men proud of their vain learning go round and round Like the blind led by the blind.

It is impossible to find and realize the truth via religion and scriptural study. Even Upanishads confirm this.

Katha Upanishad: ~ This Atman cannot be attained by the study of the Vedas, or by intelligence, or by much hearing of sacred books. It is attained by him alone whom It chooses. To such a one Atman reveals Its own form. (Katha Upanishad Ch-II -23-P-20)

Mundaka Upanishad: ~ This Atman cannot be attained through study of the Vedas, nor through intelligence, nor through much learning. He who chooses Atman—by him alone is Atman attained. It is Atman that reveals to the seeker Its true nature. 3 –page-70 Mundaka Upanishad )

When the Upanishad says:~ the human goal is to acquire Self-Knowledge and they indicate the personal Gods, scriptures, worship, and rituals are not the means to Self –Knowledge, then why anyone should indulge in it. The religion, concept of individualized God, and scriptures are the greatest obstacles to realizing non-dual truth or Self-realization because they are based on false self (ego).

The seeker of truth has to search for the ultimate truth without losing himself in the labyrinths of philosophy, through deeper, inquiry, analysis, and reasoning and assimilate and realize it.

That is why Sankara, indicated in Bhaja Govindam says:~ (Jnana Viheena Sarva Mathena Bajathi na Muktim janma Shatena) - one without knowledge does not obtain liberation even in a hundred births, no matter which religious faith he follows.

Then it is no use going roundabout way, trace the Brahman which is the formless substance and witness of the universe, which is in the form of mind. By tracing the source of the mind or universe one will be able to realize the Brahman or God in truth. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar
