Consciousness’ is one without the second. Diversity is merely an illusory division in consciousness.+

People who are not digested Advaitic wisdom think that awareness is prior to the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. The Soul or consciousness, or awareness, is one and the same thing. Those who are stuck up in their intellectual wealth will never be able to cross the ocean of ignorance.
Intellectuals are still using dualistic lenses and they think they know the non-dualistic truth. This ‘I know business blocks their realization of Advaita.
Upanishads:~ Fools dwelling in darkness, but thinking they wise and erudite, go round and round, by various tortuous paths, like the blind led by the blind. (Upanishads Nikilanada - Ch II-5 P-14)

There is no higher or lower consciousness. Consciousness is one without the second.

Rig Veda: ~ 'Prajnanam Brahma'- Consciousness is the ultimate reality or Brahman or God in truth.

Consciousness’ is one without the second. Diversity is merely an illusory division in consciousness.

Consciousness is the cause of the world in which we exist. The consciousness is everything. Before the appearance of the world in which we exist, the world was the consciousness and after the disappearance of the world in which we exist, the world becomes one with consciousness. Whatever appeared and disappeared as the world, in which we exist, is nothing but an illusion created out of consciousness.
The illusion and has no value because the illusion is also nothing but consciousness.
Only on dualistic perspective, there is higher and lower consciousness. On a non-dualistic perspective, consciousness alone is.
Both modern science and religion offer hypotheses and theories but there is one vital difference--science begins with facts which it collects; religion begins with fancies. Science evolves its hypotheses from such facts, religion from fancies.
Science declares that oxygen combines with hydrogen to give water. And it also declares oxygen is protons or electrons. But in pursuit of truth, the whole physical existence (universe or mind) is considered as an illusion, and science and its inventions, which are based on physical existence are limited to physical existence. The truth is within but it is beyond the physical existence. Science demands physical proof. But the physical proof is part of the illusion. Hence, science cannot go beyond physicality because the truth cannot be traced with laboratory conditions. Deeper Inquiry, analysis, and reasoning are required if one wants to push its quest deeply enough.
Science has begun to admit that the world of the spirit and the world of matter are not two antipodes... A leading British astronomer, Sir James Jeans, confessed that the scientific conception of the universe in the past was mistaken and that the borderline between the objective world, as it is manifested in nature, and the subjective one, as it expresses itself through the mind, hardly exists. In [a 1934 address at Cornell University], he said: “ Nature we study does not consist so much of something we perceive as of our perceptions, it is not the object ... but the relation itself. There is, in fact, no clear-cut division between the subject and object.” Twenty years earlier, such a statement would have been sheer heresy. Likewise, a search for the Ultimate Reality that we usually call "God," a search along both intellectual and unorthodox lines, need not be regarded as either heresy or sacrilege.

Remember:~
People are still primitive thinking fall into faulty reasoning through their inherited conditioning, such faulty thinking and reasoning make them accept the experience of birth, life, and death as a reality, taking what one sees through the senses as real, taking what is apparent, obvious and superficial as true because it is less troublesome.
Many people adopt the attitude that what they know is the truth. And what others say is false. This attitude makes them not verify anything other than what they know. One needs to be rational, not merely logical. Logic has its value only in the physical plane.
As one advances towards the spiritual plane he sees the truth underlying experience and becomes more rational. His reasoning is two-fold ~ dualistic and nondualistic. He uses dualistic reason for the practical purposes and the nondualistic reason for the spiritual pursuit. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar
