Whatever is happening to you is happening within the illusory universe or Maya. Whatever is not happening is also happening is happening within the illusory universe or Maya.
Your fortune and misfortune, your success and failure, your happiness and suffering are nothing to do with the Soul, the Self.
You belong to the domain of the illusory form, time, and space, whereas the Soul, the Self is the formless, timeless, and spaceless existence.
The ‘Self ‘ is not you, therefore, your fortune and misfortune, your success and failure, your happiness and suffering, and the world are non-existent as a reality in the domain of the Soul, the Self.
The Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness, is the only Reality. All else that seems real is an illusion. The Soul is the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth. There is nothing besides the Soul. Therefore, think only of the Soul and constantly reflect on its nature.
You need not renounce worldly life or to leave anything ~ your wife, children, job, responsibilities in order to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.
Renouncing worldly life is not a qualification to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana. You do not have to renounce anything! The only thing you have to get rid of ignorance in order to realize the truth hidden by the ignorance. : ~
