Holding the 'Self' as 'You' is a great hindrance for realizing the 'Self' hidden by the 'I'.

You and your experience of the birth, life, death, and the world is nothing to do with the Soul, the Self, because, you and your experience of the birth, life, death, and the world are a reality within the dualistic illusion or Maya.

The Soul, the Self is hidden by the dualistic illusion or Maya. The Soul, the Self is hidden by dualistic illusion or Maya, because, it is created out of the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.

Thus, the experience of birth, life, death, and the world is a reality within the dualistic illusion or Maya. The reality of dualistic illusion or Maya has no value from the standpoint of the Soul, the Self.

Mentally transcend the dualistic illusion or May into non-dualistic reality by realizing the dualistic illusion Maya is created out of the Soul or consciousness and rest in consciousness.

Remember:~

The ‘Self is not you but the ‘Self is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.

You are the birth, entity and you are bound by the life, death, and the world whereas the Soul is the birthless, deathless because it is the ever formless, timeless, and spaceless existence.

It is not you who has to get freedom but it is the Soul, the innermost ‘Self’ that is seeking freedom from experiencing the birth, life, death, and universe as reality.

Only when the Soul, the 'Self’ wakes up from the sleep of ignorance the freedom happens. For this, it has to drop the inborn samskara or conditioning, which is present in the form of the ‘I’ by realizing the 'I' itself is inborn ignorance.

It is erroneous to think on the body base when the ‘Self’ is not the body. The ‘Self’ is not the body; therefore, the individual life is nothing to do with the Soul, the ‘Self’ because the Soul is birthless and deathless because it is the ever formless, timeless, and spaceless existence. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar
