Do not mix religion with spirituality or Adyathma. Spirituality or Adyathma is universal whereas religion is limited to the individual.
Religion blocks one
from realizing God in truth because religion is based on myth whereas the
Spirituality is based on the truth.
God
in truth is not based on your inherited blind faith or belief. The Religions are based on personal God
whereas Sage Sankara’s Supreme
Brahman (God) is impersonal, Nirguna (without Gunas or attributes), Nirakara
(formless), Nirvisesha (without special characteristics), immutable, eternal , and Akarta (non-agent). God is above all needs and desires. God is always the
Witnessing Subject. God can never become an object as God is beyond the reach
of the senses. God is non-dual, one without a second. God has no other beside
it. God is destitute of difference, either external or internal. God cannot be
described because description implies a distinction. God cannot be distinguished
from any other than God. In God, there is not the
distinction of substance and attribute. Sat-Chit-Ananda constituted
the very essence or Svarupa of God, and not just God attributes. The Nirguna
Brahman of Sage Sankara is impersonal.
Religion is the cause of the diversity in unity whereas Spirituality brings unity in diversity.
Sage Sankara, indicated in Bhaja Govindam says ~ (Jnana Viheena Sarva Mathena Bajathi na Muktim janma Shatena) - one without knowledge does not obtain liberation even in a hundred births, no matter which religious faith he follows.
Many believe spirituality and religion are considered interconnected but it is not so. Religion is based on the false self-(ego or body or you) and it is limited to the false experience (universe) while spirituality transcends race, religion, gender, language, and nationality the and universe. Spirituality is based on the Soul the innermost Self. From the standpoint of the Soul the innermost Self, the universe in which we exist is merely an illusion:
God is not physical. God is the Spirit. God is the ultimate truth. God is the formless, timeless, and spaceless existence. God is Advaita. God is the cause of the universe and God itself is uncaused.
Bible says: ~ “God is a Spirit, and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth (John 4:24)”,
The Spirit is the root element of the universe. The Spirit is present in the form of the Soul, the innermost Self. The Soul is present in the form of consciousness. From the Spirit, the universe comes into existence. In the Spirit, the universe resides. And into the Spirit, the universe is dissolved. The Spirit is the parent of all that is there is.
Knowledge of God in truth is Self-knowledge or knowledge of the Spirit or knowledge of God or the ultimate truth.
Jesus said: ~ “Do not throw your pearls before pigs, lest they trample them underfoot and turn to attack you. (Matthew -7:6)
~ He meant ~ Knowledge of Christ is Self-knowledge or knowledge of the Spirit or knowledge of God or the ultimate truth.
Christ is not physical but Christ is the Spirit. Christ is the truth. Know the truth that truth will set you free.
Jesus said:~"Those who seek should not stop seeking until they find. When they find, they will be disturbed. When they are disturbed, they will marvel, and will reign over all." (Gospel of Thomas 2)

3. Jesus said, "If your leaders say to you, 'Look, the (Father's) kingdom is in the sky,' then the birds of the sky will precede you. 5. Jesus said, "Know what is in front of your face, and what is hidden from you will be disclosed to you.
For there is nothing hidden that will not be revealed. [And there is nothing buried that will not be raised.]" (Jesus spoke and Didymos Judas Thomas recorded)
Gospel Thomas logian 22:~ “Jesus saw infants being suckled. He said to his disciples, “These infants being suckled are like those who enter the kingdom.”
They said to him, “Shall we then, as children, enter the kingdom?”
Jesus’s version of Advaita:~ Jesus said to them, “When you make the two one, and when you make the inside like the outside and the outside like the inside, and the above like the below, and when you make the male and the female one and the same, so that the male not be male nor the female is female; and when you fashion eyes in the place of an eye, and a hand in place of a hand, and a foot in place of a foot, and a likeness in place of a likeness; then will you enter the kingdom.”
Santthosh Kumaar: ~ “ When one realizes mind (matter) and Soul (Spirit), the 'Self', are one in essence then there is no place for the duality.
Without duality, the universe ceases to exist as a reality. Without the universe, your existence within the universe is merely an illusion because there is scope for two because everything is created out of single stuff. That single stuff is the consciousness or Spirit.
The Spirit is God. God is the fullness of the Spirit without the division of the form, time, and space. Thus, God is nothing but the ultimate truth of Brahman.
