By not doing or by keeping quiet or by watching your thoughts, the ignorance will not vanish. Without getting rid of the ignorance the truth will not be revealed.
Without realizing what is the untruth it is impossible to realize what is the truth. Perfect understanding and realization of ‘what is what’ leads to Self-awareness.

The Soul is the cause of the world in which you exist and it itself uncaused.
Consciousness is not limited to the physical body but consciousness pervades the world in which the body exists.
Some gurus claim that the ‘Self’ is within the heart but the ‘Self’ is not within the physical body but the world in which you exist is within the Soul, which is the ‘Self’.
People are searching for the ultimate truth in all the wrong places. They think the religious Gurus and yogis will help them to get ‘ Self -realization.
People are unaware they are seeking truth within the dualistic illusion or Maya. They are unaware of the fact that the world in which we exist is the dualistic illusion or Maya.
People believe that by performing various rituals, temples worship, pilgrimaging, and visiting mountaintops, monasteries they will find what they are seeking.
Without realizing the world in which they exist is an illusion, it is impossible to realize the truth hidden by the illusory form, time, and space.
