If you want to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana you have to renounce the religion and yoga, not worldly life.+

In the beginning, your quest, the wisdom of the ‘I’-centric Gurus may have encouraged and inspired you but if you cling to these ‘I-centric teaching you will permanently remain in ignorance hallucinating imaginary realization.

There is no need for renunciation of worldly life to acquires Self-knowledge. such negation of ignorance leads to Advaitic self-awareness. Advaitic Reality is s devoid of the dualistic illusion or Maya.

Self-realization does not require renunciation of worldly life and becomes a sannyasi or monk. The seeker should not avoid his worldly duties and responsibilities and wander restless monk in order to get Self-realization.

Enjoy life and also face adversities they all are happening within the dualistic illusory passing show. When you realize the Self is not you but the Soul, the illusory burden fades away.

If one is seeking the truth, nothing but the truth, then he has to keep in mind, the truth cannot be bought in the spiritual supermarket.

There is no need to walk in the mountains in search of the truth. There is no need to meet any Gurus. There is no need to renounce family life. There is no need to study the scriptures. There is no need for glorifying the Gurus.

There is no need to spend a fortune to please the Gurus. Going to the mountains, searching for a Guru, renouncing the family life, studying the scriptures, glorifying the personal Gods and Gurus are the greatest obstacle in the path of wisdom.

One need not be a monk, a sanyasi, or swami to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Athma Gnana. Religious rituals scriptural mastery, are not a qualification to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Athma Gnana. Monkhood and sanyasa are the greatest obstacles in the true realization, which is beyond the form, time, and space.

If you are trying to become a Guru or Monk, then you are unfit to acquire Self-knowledge. Someone posing as a Gnani, because he is some Gurus’ a direct disciple cannot be a Gnani. Those who pose themselves as Gnanis are not Gnanis. A Gnani never poses himself as a Guru, a swami, a sadhu, or a yogi or some Guru’s disciple.

Different Gurus and teachers are pointing out the understanding of the Advaitic truth on different standpoints. All such understanding of Advaita is on the dualistic perspective accumulated from here and there.

Remember:~

Sage Sankara: ~ "Though I wear these robes of a Sanyasin, it is only for the sake of bread."

Sage Sankara: ~ A Gnani "bears no outward mark of a holy man" (Stanza 539).

Thus, it proves that religious Gurus and yogis are not Gnanis because they identified themselves as holy people.

Renunciation of worldly life and taking sannyasa and surrendering to Guru is the religious and yogic idea. Remember this, religion and yoga are nothing to do with spirituality. If you want to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana you have to renounce religion and yoga, not your worldly life. Religion and yoga are a great obstacle to the realization of the ‘Self’, which is hidden by the ‘I’, which is ignorance.

That is why Sage Sankara said: ~ Talk as much philosophy as you like, worship as many gods as you please, observe ceremonies and sing devotional hymns, but liberation will never come, even after a hundred aeons, without realizing the Oneness.

Sage Sankara said: ~ Neither by the practice of yoga nor philosophy, nor by good works nor by learning, does liberation come, but only through the realization that Atman and Brahman are one in no other way. (1) Vivekachoodamani v 56, pg~25

To realize the ‘Self’ hidden by the ignorance you must realize the ‘Self is not the ‘I’ but the Soul, which is present in the form of the consciousness.

Brih Upanishad: page 32:~ "Yoga does not yield truth or liberation."

Chandogya Upanishad: - One who meditates upon and realizes the Self discovers that everything in the cosmos-- energy and space, fire and water, name and form, birth and death, mind and will, word and deed, mantram and meditation--all come from the Self.

If the seeker wants to realize the truth, he must find what this ‘‘Self’’ supposed to be in actuality As long as one clings to any ‘I’-centric teachings or Guru or Yogi or paths, there is no truth- realization.

Clinging to ‘I-centric’ teaching will keep the seeker permanently in the grip of ignorance. Ignorance blocks the seeker from realizing the truth which is hidden by the ‘I’.

The ‘I’ is present only when the mind is present. Without the ‘I’ the mind ceases to exist.

The mind is present when the universe is present. Without a mind, the universe ceases to exist.

The universe is present only when the waking is present. Without the universe, the waking ceases to exist.

So, without the ‘I’ the mind or universe or the waking cease to exist.

From the standpoint of the Soul is the innermost ‘‘Self’’, the ‘I’ the mind or universe or the waking cease exists as a reality.

The Soul is the ‘Self that can remain with or without the ‘I’.

Slowly but surely you must imbibe the truth, which is beyond the form, time, and space by realizing the form, time and space are one in essence.

Remember:~

When you enthrone the Soul, which is present in the form of the consciousness in your subconscious, you will realize the world in which you exist is merely an illusory play of consciousness.

Consciousness is one, and all divisions of the form, time, and space are an illusory division created out of consciousness. The seeker has to establish in formless, timeless, and spaceless existence, by realizing the form, time and space are one in essence. That essence is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness, which is eternal.

One need not renounce worldly life and become a sanyasi or monk. One need not retire from his business or corporate job and become a Guru all these religious and yogic propagated outdated ideas has to be discarded in order to realize the truth of the true existence.

Do not become A slave of all these outdated religious and yogic ideas they are not meant for those who are seriously seeking the truth. There is no need to follow anyone.

Self-realization becomes easy if you independently walk your path.

Atmic path is the mental (inner) path. You have to tread the path alone to reach it alone finally nothing remains as reality other than the Athma the Soul, the Self.

Stop emotionally and sentimentally getting stuck with the physical Guru because it blocks your realization.

That is why Bhagavan Buddha: ~ Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders.

Sage Sankara was a Gnani. Most of the modern Gurus are not Gnani. And you have to understand that to be a Gnani is one thing; to be a Guru is totally different.

Out of a million people perhaps one is a Gnani. Most of the Self-realized decide to remain silent – seeing the difficulty, that whatever they have realized is impossible to convey in any possible way to others; seeing that not only is it difficult to convey, it is bound to be misunderstood too. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar
