Until you hold the ‘Self ‘as the ‘I’ or ‘you’, you will never be able to get Self-realization.+

Until you hold the ‘Self ‘as the ‘I’, you will never be able to get Self-realization. ‘I’ hides the Soul, which is the Self. ‘

The ‘I’ is ignorance.

The ‘I’ is the duality.

The ‘I’ is form, time, and space.

The ‘I’ is the universe.

The ‘I’ is waking.

The ‘I’ is the dream.

The ‘I’ is the illusion.

‘I’ is the experience of birth, life, death, and the world.

Remember:~

Without the ‘I’ there is no ignorance.

Without the ‘I’ there is no duality.

Without the ‘I’ there is no form, time, and space

Without the ‘I’ there is no universe.

Without the ‘I’ there is no waking.

Without the ‘I’ there is no dream.

Without the ‘I’ there is no illusion.

Without the ‘I’ there is no experience of birth, life, death, and the world.

The ‘I’ hides the truth of the Soul, the ‘Self’.

That is why Ashtavakra Gita 16:10:~ If you desire liberation, but you still say ‘I,’ if you feel the ‘Self’ is the ‘I’, you are not a wise man or a seeker. You are simply a man who suffers.

Bhagavad Gita: ~ ‘The permanent is always there, only the transient ‘I’ comes and goes. (2.18)

It is high time to discard the ‘I’. Never use the word the ‘I’ or I AM for the Self. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

People say I AM THIS or I AM THAT without realizing what the 'Self is in actuality.+

People say I AM THIS or I AM THAT without realizing what the 'Self is in actuality. I AM represents the physical existence or the universe. Physical existence is an illusion therefore I AM is an illusion. The Soul, the Self is prior to I AM.

People think everything is energy but without consciousness, how can one know it is energy. It is only intellectual speculation.
Chandogya Upanishad:~ One who meditates upon and realizes the 'Self' discovers that everything in the cosmos-- energy and space, fire and water, name and form, birth and death, mind and will, word and deed, mantrams and meditation--all come from the Self.
The sun, the moon, the stars, planets shine because of the Soul or Spirit. The Soul shines and all things else shine as a result. Everything in the universe reflects but that light of the Soul which is present in the form of consciousness. Merely knowing the truth is not enough to escape from the tangle of illusion.
The mind is in the form of the universe. From the standpoint of the Soul the innermost Self the universe is merely an illusion. The illusion arises from ignorance. Enlightenment comes with detachment from the illusion by realizing the experience of the form, time and space are one in essence.
Bhagavad Gita: ~ Brahmano hi pratisthaham ~ Brahman (God) is considered the all-pervading consciousness, which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material. (14.27).
When Bhagavad Gita says, God is considered the all-pervading consciousness which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material then everything is nothing but consciousness.
The Soul, the Self, which is present in the form of consciousness, is the substance of the dualistic illusion because the dualistic illusion is created out of consciousness. :
Illusion’s "concealing power" merely means that when one looks at an ice block he thinks only of the ice block. But a Gnani will think of the substance of the ice block too. That is a wise man who has knowledge of the substance plus of the ice block.
Similarly, a Gnani has the knowledge of the universe and its formless substance also. The consciousness is concealed because of ignorance. As a man, one is not aware of the fact that his body, ego, and his experience of the world are merely an illusion created out of consciousness.
When one becomes aware of the fact that, the universe is an illusion then there is nobody no ego, and no world then there is only the formless Soul or consciousness, which is the Self. ~Santthosh Kumaar

All these thought-centric Gurus and their teachings will not yield Advaitic wisdom.+

To whom do these thoughts come?

Find out the source of your thoughts?

All these thought-centric Gurus and their teachings will not yield Advaitic wisdom because they are only knowledge based on the form, time, and space(ignorance). The Advaitic truth is beyond the form, time, and space.

The thoughts arise only in the domain of form, time, and space. The thoughts come to you because you exist within the domain of form, time, and space. You are the thinker. You are the false self within the false experience. Without 'you' the thoughts will not arise.

In the dream, the thoughts come to the dream entity. The dream entity is a thinker within the dream. The dream becomes unreal when the waking takes place. Similarly, the waking becomes unreal when wisdom dawns. The wisdom dawns when you realize the ‘Self’ is not you, but the ‘Self’ is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.

If the ‘Self’ is not you then what is the use of asking yourself:

To whom do these thoughts come? Find out the source of your thoughts?.

The thoughts come to you, not to the Soul, the innermost ‘Self’ because the Soul is the ever formless, timeless, and spaceless existence.

On the standpoint of the Soul, the innermost Self, the form, time, and space are merely an illusion.

If the form, time, and space are merely an illusion then you, your thoughts, and the world in which you exist is merely an illusion.

Thus, what is the use of finding out about the thoughts which come to you, not to the Soul, the  ‘Self’?

Thus, Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana is necessary to realize the truth, which is beyond the form, time, and space

Thoughts and thinker belong to the illusory universe or Maya whatever belongs to the universe is bound to be an illusion.

The thinker thought and the world in which the thinker exists is part of the dualistic illusion (I). The thought will not arise without form, time, and space. The form, time, and space will not arise without the mind. The mind ceases to exist without the Soul which is in the form of the Spirit. Therefore, there is a need to know the “Self” is not limited to the physical entity (you), but it pervades in everything and everywhere in the experience of diversity (waking or dream).

Deep sleep is the state of thoughtlessness, silence, wordlessness, silence but it is not considered as the state of oneness because anyone can take a sleeping pill and will be able to get the state of oneness. Thus, trying to imitate the state of oneness in duality by observing silence,

Thoughtlessness, wordlessness, or by yogic Samadhi or surrendering to the physical Guru, the Advaitic wisdom will not dawn. Without the Advaitic wisdom, ignorance will not vanish. Thus, getting rid of ignorance through wisdom is the only way to realize the ultimate truth or Brahman.

Instead of finding fault first realize what the Self is in actuality. Honest introspection will reveal that all fault lies with “you” and “your "own perceptions and attitudes. If there is an error in understanding what 'Self' is in actuality it is in “you". Correcting this and changing to a Soulcentric attitude will change your perception and then the Soul; the 'Self' will reveal its formless, timeless, and spaceless true nature. If you are unable to grasp the truth hidden by the ‘I’ then you will never be able to grasp nonduality or Advaita.

Please dig into older posts and blogs you will find answers to all your questions. Without reading the full subject matter coming to a judgment on your own point of view is not wisdom.

There is no need to agree or disagree with what I say. If you are sure about what you know is the ultimate truth then why worry move on your chosen path.

The Atmic path is not a question and answers session. The Atmic path is not the path exchange views and opinions. I have bifurcated what is not needed to realize the truth, which is hidden by the illusory form, time, and space.

Some people expect me to comment on their individual views and opinion and experiences. I do not want to mix others' views opinions and experiences, which is of no use in the Atmic path. I share only what reveals to me from the inner core.

Self-knowledge will not arise from the exchange of views and opinions and arguments. The accumulated knowledge is not a yardstick, to realize the truth beyond the form of time and space.

In the path of wisdom discussion of the unimportant subject matter and creates a hindrance. The path of truth is the path of verification. Nothing has to be accepted as truth without verification.

Agreeing to disagree causes unnecessary friction. Sharing is giving info for the sake of goodness. As with all things, achieving a balance of peaceful communications is established with respect, humility, understanding, and patience. Balancing an achievement is harder.

The seeker has to stop passing unimportant opinions in the Atmic path. The Atmic path is not the path of discussion, but the path of realization of the truth, which is beyond the form, time, and space. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

The seeker should be aware of everything that is untrue: stick to the truth and he shall succeed, maybe slowly, but surely.+

It takes time for the seeker to gain the perfect understanding of ‘what is the truth’ and ‘’what is untruth’. It takes time for the Soul, the innermost Self to wake up from the sleep of ignorance, and it takes time for one realizes the truth, which is beyond the form, time, and space.

The seeker should be aware of everything untrue: stick to the truth and he shall succeed, maybe slowly, but surely.

The ‘I’ is not the root of all the appearance because the ‘I’ itself is an appearance. Only ignorant people say ‘I’ is the root of all the appearance.

Those who Gurus who propagated the ‘Self’ is within the body are erred. This mistake has to be rectified in order to realize the Soul, the Self, which is present in the form of consciousness, is the fullness of consciousness. By emotionally sticking to these ’I’-centric gurus and their teachings you will remain permanently in the domain of ignorance.

Because of ignorance, you think you are an individual separate from the world and world that existed prior to you, you are born in it later on. The ‘I’ is inborn ignorance caused by experiencing the world in which you exist as a reality whereas the world in which you exist is the dualistic illusion.

Whatever belongs to dualistic illusion is bound to be an illusion. So, your experience of birth, life, death, and the world is bound to be an illusion.

Everyone is holding some teaching or teacher or their accepted truth as a yardstick. All the accumulated egocentric knowledge is inadequate or useless in unfolding the mystery of the mind or universe.

The ‘I’ is inborn samskara or conditioning, because of this inborn samskara or conditioning one has accepted the ‘I’ as the ‘‘Self’’, he is ignorant of the fact that the ‘I’ itself’ is the cause of ignorance. Because of this ‘I’ he has accepted illusion as a reality. Therefore, there is a need to realize ‘what is this ‘I’?’ - in actuality. Without knowing ‘what is this ‘I’?’ in actuality it is impossible to unfold the hidden truth which is beyond the form, time, and space.

Until you hold the ‘Self ‘as the ‘I’ you will never be able to get Self-realization. ‘I’ hides the Soul, which is the innermost Self. ‘

'I’ is ignorance.

‘I’ is the duality.

‘I’ is form, time, and space.

‘I’ is the universe.

‘I’ is the waking.

‘I’ is the dream.

‘I’ is the illusion.

‘I’ is the experience of birth, life, death, and the world.

Remember:~

Without the ‘I’ there is no ignorance.

Without the ‘I’ there is no duality.

Without the ‘I’ there is no form, time, and space.

Without the ‘I’ there is no universe.

Without the ‘I’ there is no waking.

Without the ‘I’ there is no dream.

Without the ‘I’ there is no illusion.

Without the ‘I’ there is no experience of birth, life, death, and the world.

The ‘I’ hides the Soul, the ‘Self. The ‘I’ hides the truth.

That is why Ashtavakra Gita 16:10:~ If you desire liberation, but you still say ‘I’ if you feel the ‘Self’ is the ‘I’, you are not a wise man or a seeker. You are simply a man who suffers.

It is time to discard the ‘I’. Never use the word the ‘I’ or I AM for the Self. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

In reality, there is neither the father nor the son but only the God, which is present in the form of the consciousness.+

In reality, there is neither the father nor the son but only the Spirit, the God, which is present in the form of consciousness.

Bible says: ~ “God is a Spirit, and they that worship God must worship God in Spirit open and in Truth (John 4:24)”

The Spirit is present in the form of consciousness. Everything is consciousness. All the moments are within the universe, which is the dualistic illusion or Maya. Whatever happens within the dualistic illusion is bound to be an illusion created out of consciousness. Thus, consciousness alone is real and all else is merely an illusion.

“Spirit is my father and I and my father are one.”

If the Spirit is the father the son is bound to be the Spirit. The Spirit, the beloved alone is real and all else is merely an illusion.

There is no God in the dualistic illusion because the dualistic illusion created out of God, which is present in the form of the Spirit or consciousness. Thus, God alone is real.

Spirit is prior to Love. Love implies duality. Love hides God. When love disappears the God appears. Find the Self and Love the Self and rest in God, which is the Spirit.

If the father (God) is Spirit the son is bound to be the Spirit.

If God is Spirit, then how does the man know God created the world? There is no proof. If the man had seen God creating the world, he could admit it, but how could he have seen God before he came into existence? (i.e. were created).

The Spirit is the root element of the universe. The Spirit is present in the form of the Soul, the Self. The Soul is present in the form of consciousness. From the Spirit, the universe comes into existence. In the Spirit, the universe resides. And into the Spirit, the universe is dissolved. The Spirit is the parent of all that is there is.

Jesus said: - Do not throw your pearls before pigs, lest they trample them underfoot and turn to attack you. (Matthew -7:6)

~Jesus meant Knowledge of Spirit (God) or Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana (pearls) should not be given to the ignorant populace (pigs).

Jesus really say? To the multitude, he said, “God is in heaven; try to go there,” and to reach that end he said to overcome certain temptations and sufferings.

To his followers, he said, “God is everywhere; try to see Him.” and gave explanations to that effect.

To the close circle of apostles, he said, “God is in me and in you too,” and actually revealed this to them.

Why did Jesus say different things? Owing to the time and the persons, according to their readiness to listen and understand. What Jesus meant was to leave all and follow him; that means to know him, see him, and experience him.

The teachings that are being followed by Christians are not the real teachings that Christ gave. The priests have altered his words, added to his teachings, and spoiled them.

Jesus said: ~ Seek and ye shall find. Knock the doors shall open to you.

Remember:~

Gospel Thomas Login 22:- Jesus saw infants being suckled. He said to his disciples, “These infants being suckled are like those who enter the kingdom.”

They said to him, “Shall we then, as children, enter the kingdom?”

Jesus said to them, “When you make the two one, and when you make the inside like the outside and the outside like the inside, and the above like the below, and when you make the male and the female one and the same, so that the male not be male nor the female is female; and when you fashion eyes in the place of an eye, and a hand in place of a hand, and a foot in place of a foot, and a likeness in place of a likeness; then will you enter the kingdom.”

Santthosh Kumaar: ~ This above passage is Jesus’s version of Nonduality or Advaita. When one realizes mind (matter) and the Soul (Spirit), the innermost Self, is one, in essence, there is no place for the duality. Without duality, the universe ceases to exist. Without the universe, your existence within the universe mere an illusion because there is scope for two because everything is created out of single stuff. That single stuff is the consciousness or Spirit.

Until one thinks he is an individual separate from this world he remains in the realm of duality. Duality is the product of ignorance. When the Advaitic wisdom dawns, then the ignorance vanishes. When the ignorance vanishes, then the duality never remains as a reality.

God is not physical. God is present in the form of the Spirit. The Spirit is the cause of the Universe and the Spirit itself is uncaused.

From the standpoint of the Spirit, the form, time, space, and name are merely an illusion. The Spirit alone is real and all else is an illusion. In reality, the spirit (God) matter (the world in which we exist) are one. :~ Santthosh Kumaar

You are stuck to the ‘I’ by saying ‘I AM THAT’. The ‘Self’ is not an individual to identify the ‘Self’ as ‘I AM’.+

You are stuck to the ‘I’ by saying ‘I AM THAT’. The ‘Self’ is not an individual to identify the ‘Self’ as ‘I AM’. How can you identify the ‘Self as ‘I AM’ when the ‘Self’ is formless, timeless, and spaceless existence.

People say Aham Brahmasmi - I am God, I am Brahman. I AM THAT’ but when Brahman is, how can "I" remain? Only Brahman remains, not the I.

People think the ‘I’ without the body is the Self. The seeker has to understand the fact that ‘I’ is not the Self, but the Soul, which is the witness of the ‘I’ is the true Self, which is eternal.

That is why Ashtavakra Gita 16:10:~ If you desire liberation, but you still say ‘I’ if you feel the ‘Self’ is the ‘I’, you are not a wise man or a seeker. You are simply a man who suffers.

People are stuck with the reality of the ‘I’, which they take it as real because some Gurus have propagated the Self is the ‘I’. There is no need to convince such a mindset which refuses to accept anything other than their accepted truth.

The seeker of truth accepts only the truth nothing but the truth. The truth is hidden by the ‘I’ but it is without the ‘I’.

Some Gurus in the past glorified the ‘I’ without verifying what this ‘I’ is an actuality. And followers of that ‘I’ based teaching Got stuck with the ‘I’.

The ‘I’ is present only when the mind is present.

The mind is present only when the universe is present.

The universe is present only when the waking is present.

If the ‘I’ is absent then the mind, the universe, the waking, is absent.

~ It means the ‘I’, the mind, the universe, the waking, are one and the same thing.

This is very important for the seeker to know to realize the ‘I’ itself is ignorance to overcome the ignorance they have to discard ‘I’.

Then why use the word ‘I’ for the ‘Self’ when ‘I’ is the cause of ignorance.

The Soul, the Self is God. It is not “I AM GOD, but it’s correct to say ‘the SELF IS GOD because the Self is not the ‘I’ or ’I AM”.

That is why Bhagavan Buddha said: ~

Do not believe spiritual teaching just because: ~

1. It is repeatedly recited,

2. It is written in scripture,

3. It was handed from Guru to a disciple,

4. Everyone around you believes it,

5. It has supernatural qualities,

6. It fits my beliefs anyway,

7. It sounds rational to me,

8. It is taught by a respectable person,

9. It was said to be the truth by the teacher,

10. One must defend it or fight for it.

No second thing existed prior to the appearance of the ‘I’ and ‘I’ never exists now and also ‘I’ never exists in the future. The ‘I’, which appears and disappears is merely an illusion.

Let you be clear on one thing. The ‘I’ is mere a dualistic illusion created out of the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. But in reality, ‘I’ neither exists in the past nor exists now, nor going to exist in the future. Whatever existed in the past and whatever exists now and whatever is going to exists in the future is merely an illusion created out of consciousness.

Whatever has appeared as ‘I’ is nothing but consciousness? The ‘I’ has no value because it is merely an illusion.

If you search for the truth then you will find only the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. If you search for the Soul then you will find only the truth, which is hidden by the illusory form, time, and space. : ~Santthosh Kumaar

Consciously becoming aware of the Soul in the midst of diversity (waking) is Self- awareness or Brahmic awareness.+

It is foolish to say be as you are. See who you are and remain as the Self, free from birth, going, coming, and returning without realizing the ‘Self is not you but the Self is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness

The one which is born lives and dies is not the Soul, Self. You are born; you living and die in this world. From the standpoint of the Soul, the Self, the world is an illusion. Thus, your individual experience of birth, life, death, and the world is bound to be an illusion.

The Soul, the Self is nothing to do with your individual experience of birth, life, death, and the world because it is the ever-formless timeless, and spaceless existence.

The Soul is the cause of the world and it itself is uncaused.

Without realizing the ‘Self is not ‘I’, it is impossible to realize the truth hidden by the ‘I’, which is the dualistic illusion.

This is your bondage that you are stuck up to the ‘I’ centric teaching. ‘I’ centric teachings are lower knowledge meant for lower stages.

The seeker has to ignore these ‘I’-centric teaching and search of higher knowledge. ... Such teachings are unsafe rafts for crossing the ocean of ignorance. Doomed to shipwreck are those who try to cross the ocean of the ignorance on these poor rafts. Ignorant of their own ignorance, yet wise in their own esteem, these deluded people proud of their vain learning go round and round like the blind led by the blind.

The Soul, the  Self is verily Brahman (God), being equanimous, quiescent, and by nature absolute Existence, Knowledge, and Awareness. The Soul is not the ‘I’ which is non-existence itself. The realization of this truth is called Self- Knowledge by the Sages of truth.

There is nothing that exists prior to consciousness. The ‘I’ cease to exist without consciousness.

The Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness, is the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth.

That is why Bhagavad Gita: ~ ‘The permanent (consciousness) is always there, only the transient ‘I’ comes and goes. (2.18)

The ‘I’ hides the truth of the Self, which is the Soul or consciousness.

Bhagavad Gita: ~ “You must first see the ‘I’ as illusory before you see others as illusory. ~ CH.2 v.16

First, you must make sure the ‘I’ itself is illusory because the ‘I’ is not permanent.

The seeker has to find for himself the truth of his true existence and to come to a fuller and deeper understanding and realization of the truth, which is hidden by the illusory form, time, and space.

The purpose quest for truth is to first find out what is the untruth to realize the truth and discard the untruth.

Do not try to get rid of the ego you will never succeed in getting rid of the ego. Think in a different direction. The ego exists only in the domain of the form, time, and space.

The form, time, and space exist only when the mind exists.

The mind exists only when the universe exists.

The universe appears only when the waking appears.

The waking appears only when the ‘I’ appears.

Remember:~

The ‘I’ disappears in deep sleep.

There is no form, time, and space when ‘I’ disappears.

There is no mind when ‘I’ disappears.

There is the universe when the ‘I’ disappears.

There is no waking when the ‘I’ disappears.

Remember:~

‘I’ appears means the duality appears.

The duality that appears means there is the division of form, time, and space.

If there is division in the form, time, and space- means there is diversity in unity.

Remember:~

When ‘I’ disappears there is nonduality.

Nonduality is the fullness of consciousness without the division of the form, time, and space.

The fullness of consciousness means unity in diversity.

Unity in diversity in consciousness is Advaita.

Consciously becoming aware of the Soul in the midst of diversity (waking) is Self- awareness or Brahmic awareness.

If you desire Self-realization, but you still say "I,” and if you feel the ‘Self’ is the ‘I’, you are not a wise seeker. You are simply ignorant. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

Swami Vivekananda:~Advaita encompasses everything. Since Advaita requires heavy-duty intellectualism.+

Swami Vivekananda: ~ “Advaita encompasses everything. Since Advaita requires heavy-duty intellectualism, it had to be progressively simplified. (From 'The Complete Works of Swami Vivekananda)

One has to go beyond Vedas means to go beyond the religion. Go beyond the religion means, go beyond the blind belief-based God.

Going beyond the Vedas, religion and the belief in God means, going beyond the illusion, which is the end of Vedas (Veda –antha).

Lord Krishna confesses that the oldest wisdom of India (Advaitic wisdom) has been lost: people misinterpret and falsify it today as they did then. It is not yoga but the philosophic truth. But nobody knows it. The teachers of philosophy and leaders of mysticism or religion do not want to inquire into truth and have no time for it. (Gita –Chap- IV-v.2)

When one goes into the annals of history it looks like the true Advaita expounded by Sage Sankara and Sage Goudpada was also lost.

The Advaitic wisdom is nothing to do with orthodox preaching and practice because Advaitic orthodoxy is dogmatism. The Advaitic orthodoxy has to be discarded if one wants to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.

Sage Sankara and Sage Goudpada are independent thinkers other schools of Indian philosophy are mere theologies. Advaitic philosophy is real philosophy. The dualistic philosophy cannot escape the charge of dogmatism.

Sage Sankara was an independent thinker. His wisdom has not been taken seriously by many in India because most of the followers of Sage Sankara belongs to the orthodox sect.

Yoga Vasistha:~ "Teachers, interpretations of sacred texts, the force of religious merit--none of these lead to the realization of that Ultimate Truth which is revealed in the clear reflection of the heart, engendered from contact with the good."

Anybody can write a commentary on the Upanishads and other great philosophic texts, all they need to do to pour out words. Some westerners along with some orthodox pundits translated and published books but all these books are based on a dualistic perspective. all the knowledge of Advaita on dualistic perspective is merely egocentric imagination, not the truth, which is hidden by the ‘I’.

Sage Sankara’s Advaitic wisdom is nothing to do with orthodox belief systems.

It is necessary for the seeker to do his homework, and verify the validity of all the claims, rather than blindly believe, what orthodox pundits expound as knowledge, till; the un-contradicted truth is obtained.

Self- Knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana is only being true knowledge not the absence of duality. Self -Knowledge cannot destroy the world but it eliminates ignorance and exposes the unreal nature of the mind or the universe.

Sage Sankara: - 63. Without causing the objective universe to vanish and without knowing the truth of the ‘Self’, how is one to achieve Liberation by the mere utterance of the word Brahman? — It would result merely in an effort of speech.

Sage Sankara: ~ “VC- 61. For one who has been bitten by the serpent of Ignorance, the only remedy is the knowledge of Brahman. Of what avail are the Vedas and (other) Scriptures, Mantras (sacred formulae), and medicines to such a one?

How does one get the knowledge? What is meant by knowledge? What is true knowledge? –All this must be dealt with by the seeker of truth in order to realize the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth.

Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana does not destroy the world but it exposes the illusory nature of the universe, which appears as the waking. The same way the unreal nature of the dream was exposed when waking took place. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar
