God with form, name, and attributes does not find any support from the Vedas.+

The Upanishad says the person worships the deities as entities entirely separate from the 'Self' does not know the truth. he is like a beast (ignorant)

Till you believe the religious Gods as real God and religion as finality you are not qualified to acquire Self-knowledge Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnan. Self-knowledge Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnan is the knowledge of the real God.

Brihadaranyaka Upanishad says: ~ Brahman (God) is present in the form of the Athma, and it is indeed Athma itself.

The Vedas and Upanishads confirm God is Atman (Spirit), the Self.

Yajur Veda – chapter- 32: ~God is Supreme Spirit has no ‘Pratima’ (idol) or material shape. He cannot be seen directly by anyone. He pervades all beings and all directions. Thus, Idolatry does not find any support from the Vedas.

Rig Veda: ~ The Atman is the cause; Atman is the support of all that exists in this universe. May ye never turn away from the Atman the innermost self. May ye never accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman?" (10:48, 5)

Vedas reveals ONE GOD but Hinduism is filled with 33crores of Gods Vedas reveals God as Spirit (Atman or Brahman) and no form whereas Hindus worship God in the form of various non-Vedic idols of Gods and Goddesses are barred by Vedas.

Yajur Veda says those who worship idols in place of God are enveloped in still greater darkness. Therefore, all these add-ons prove that the form and attribute-based concepts are introduced projecting them Vedic Gods in the past with a new belief system and code of conducts in the name of Vedas.

Brihadaranyaka Upanishad: ~He who worships the deities as entities entirely separate from the 'Self' does not know the truth. For the Gods, he is like a pasu (beast)". (1. 4. 10)

Bhagavad Gita: ~ Brahmano hi pratisthaham ~ Brahman (God) is considered the all-pervading consciousness (Spirit), which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material. (14.27).

When Bhagavad Gita says, God is considered the all-pervading consciousness (Spirit) which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material then nothing has to be accepted as God other than consciousness.

Lord Krishna Says Ch ~V: ~ “Those who know the Self in truth.". The last two words (tattvataha) are usually ignored by pundits, but they make all the difference between the ordinary concept of God and the truth about God.

The dualistic worship of "God” is only for the ignorant populace. The God in truth is only Atman, the innermost Self. In reality, there is no duality, no differentiation. Only Atman exists.

The dualistic worship of "God” only for the lower minds; Advaita for the more evolved.

Dogmas and beliefs, rituals, and ceremonies are the essences of the religion, not of spirituality. Religion has become merely a matter of external rituals and ceremonies. Religion hides the truth beyond form, time, and space. Until the form, time and space are present the duality is present. The duality creates the illusory prison to the Soul, the Self.

Religious rites and rigid ceremonies were passed down from one generation to the next as a practice or set customs and tradition and performed automatically with blind faith. Such worship based on the belief of God does not reach God.

The Soul is God realize God in truth. The ‘Soul' is prior to anything that exists. The Soul is the innermost Self. The Soul is present in the form of consciousness. The Soul is self-evident It is not established by extraneous proofs. It is not possible to deny the Soul because it is the very essence of the one who denies it. The Soul is the basis of all kinds of knowledge, presuppositions, and proofs.

God with form, name, and attributes does not find any support from the Vedas.

Bhagavad Gita: ~ ‘All those whose intelligence has been stolen by material desires, they worship many gods. (7- Verse -20)

Sage Sankara’s Supreme Brahman is impersonal, Nirguna (without Gunas or attributes), Nirakara (formless), Nirvisesha (without special characteristics), immutable, eternal, and Akarta (non-agent). It is above all needs and desires. It is always the Witnessing Subject. It can never become an object as it is beyond the reach of the senses. Brahman is non-dual, one without a second. It has no other beside it. It is destitute of difference, either external or internal. Brahman cannot be described because the description implies a distinction. Brahman cannot be distinguished from any other than It. In Brahman, there is not a distinction between substance and attribute. Sat-Chit-Ananda constituted the very essence or Svarupa of Brahman, and not just Its attributes. The Nirguna Brahman of Sage Sankara is impersonal.

Even Bhagavad Gita says: ~ Brahmano hi pratisthaham ~ Brahman (God) is considered the all-pervading consciousness, which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material. (14.27).

Even Rig Veda: ~ May ye never turn away from the Atman the Self. May ye never accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman?" (10:48, 5)

Brihadaranyaka Upanishad:~ "He who worships the deities as entities entirely separate from Self does not know the truth. For the Gods, he is like a pasu (beast)". (1. 4. 10)

Isa, Upanishad says: ~Worshipping Gods and Goddesses are hindrances to ‘Self’-knowledge.

MANTRA 10

Vidya and Avidya both are hindrances to ‘Self’-knowledge, but Vidya is even worse than Avidya. The word Vidya is used here in a special sense; here it means worshipping Gods and Goddesses. By worshipping Gods and Goddesses you will go after death to the world of Gods and Goddesses. But will that help you? The time you spend there is wasted because if you were not there you could have spent that time moving forward towards ‘Self’-knowledge, which is your goal. In the world of Gods and Goddesses, you cannot do that, and thus you go deeper and deeper into darkness.

Ish Upanishad declares: ~ “ Those people who have neglected the attainment of Self-knowledge and have thus committed suicide.

Those people who have neglected the attainment of Self-knowledge and have thus committed suicide, as it were, are doomed to enter those worlds after death. This is a condemnation of people who do not try to attain Self-knowledge. They are, in a real sense, committing suicide, for what can be worse than being a slave to sense enjoyment, completely oblivious of the real purpose of life, which is to be one’s, own master?

There is nothing more rational, more intelligible, and more un-dogmatic insights of Sage Sri, Sankara, is to drop all the theistic non-duality or Advaita which is meant for those who are incapable and not receptive to realize the ultimate truth or Brahman.

Swami Vivekananda said: ~ “You have to grow from the inside out. None can teach you, none can make you spiritual. There is no other teacher but your own Soul.”

When the Advaitic wisdom dawns then this world in which you exist which you think as reality becomes unreal. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

Only Advaitic wisdom of Sage Sankara unfolds the mystery of the ‘I’.+

Only Advaitic wisdom of Sage Sankara unfolds the mystery of the ‘I’. Advaitic wisdom rises gradually by the weakening of ignorance as understanding and realization of ‘what is what’ matures.

Find out what is this 'I' suppose to be in actuality?
The ‘I’ is present in the form of the mind. The mind is present in the form of the universe. The universe is not a projection because it is merely an illusion.
There is no projection and no projector in the realm of truth. The concept of projection and projector is based on the dualistic perspective. On the non-dualistic perspective, there is neither projection nor the projector, because there is no second thing exist other than the Soul, which is present in the form of the consciousness.
Remember:~
The ‘Self’ noting permanent and the ‘I’, is impermanent. The ‘I’, which appears and disappears is not the Self. The Self is hidden by the ‘I’. the ‘I’ is perishable whereas the Self is imperishable.
That is why Bhagavad Gita: ~ “The permanent is always there, only the transient ‘I’ comes and goes. (2.18)
Why are you struggling to find out who you are? You will never find the answer if you get stuck to the ‘I’. Find out ‘what is this ‘I’, which appears and disappears. What is that is aware of the coming and going of the ‘I’?
Without realizing ‘What is this ‘I’?- you will never be able to realize the mystery of the ‘I’. The ‘I’ is the most intoxicating stuff. Those who use the word ‘I’ for the ‘Self ‘will never be able to cross the threshold of the dualistic illusion.
The ‘I-centric' Gurus and their teachings will not transport the seeker to the ultimate end of understanding.
The ‘I’ is the cage for the Soul. ‘I’ is the cause of ignorance. Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana is the only weapon to get rid of ignorance.
The ‘I’ based teachings will not transport the seeker to the ultimate end of understanding. Perfect understanding of ‘what is this ‘I’ leads to the realization of the truth beyond the form, time, and space.
That is why Ashtavakra Gita 16:10:~ If you desire liberation, but you still say 'I'," If you feel the ‘Self’ is the ‘I’, you are not a wise man or a seeker. You are simply a man who suffers. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

Thinker, thoughts, the words, and the world in which we exist is merely an illusion created out of the Soul or consciousness.+

Thinker, thoughts, the words, and the world in which we exist is merely an illusion created out of the Soul or consciousness.

Thus, there is no second thing that exists, other than consciousness. Everything is nothing but consciousness.

There is no need for any practice to realize the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth.

Perfect understanding, assimilation of ‘what is what’ is very much necessary to realize the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth.

Lord Krishna Says Ch. V: ~ “Those who know the ‘Self’ in truth." The last two words (tattvataha) are usually ignored by pundits, but they make all the difference between the ordinary concept of God and the truth about God.

Jesus said:-"Those who seek should not stop seeking until they find. When they find it, they will be disturbed. When they are disturbed, they will marvel, and will reign over all." (Gospel of Thomas 2)

Jesus said: ~” Know what is in front of your face, and what is hidden from you will be disclosed to you. (THE GOSPEL OF THOMAS- Saying 5)

"The Kingdom of God is inside you and all around you, Not in a mansion of wood and stone. Split a piece of wood and God is there, Lift a stone and you will find God." (Gospel of Thomas)

Gospel Thomas logion 22:~ Jesus saw infants being suckled. He said to his disciples, “These infants being suckled are like those who enter the kingdom.”

They said to him, “Shall we then, as children, enter the kingdom?”

Jesus’s version of Advaita:~ Jesus said to them, “When you make the two one, and when you make the inside like the outside and the outside like the inside, and the above like the below, and when you make the male and the female one and the same, so that the male not be male nor the female is female; and when you fashion eyes in the place of an eye, and a hand in place of a hand, and a foot in place of a foot, and a likeness in place of a likeness; then will you enter the kingdom.” : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

The ego is the very basis of the world in which you exist. It is impossible to eliminate the ego.+

It is impossible to eliminate the ego. You cannot go beyond the ego because you are the ego. The ego is the very basis of the world in which you exist. It is impossible to eliminate the ego.

Remember: ~
People talk of getting rid of the ego but it impossible to get rid of the ego. The ego is the very basis of form, time, and space. Without the ego, the form, time, and space cease to exist. Without the form, time, and space the world in which we exist ceases to exist.
Thus, a perfect understanding of ‘what is what' is required to get rid of ignorance. Without getting rid of the ignorance the form, time, and space prevail as a reality.
One has to get rid of the ignorance, not the ego because the ego is the product of ignorance.
Just by saying let there be ‘oneness’ the diversity will not vanish. Without the Advaitic wisdom, ignorance will not vanish.
Without getting rid of the ignorance, the dualistic illusion (the world in which you exist) prevails as a reality.:~

Buddhist believe in reincarnation and rebirth. Buddhists hold the illusory universe in which birth, life, death takes place as reality.+

Buddhist believe in reincarnation and rebirth. Buddhists hold the illusory universe in which birth, life, death takes place as reality. If the universe is illusory then birth, life death is bound to be illusory.

Buddhist do not believe in the existence of the Soul. Without the Soul there no nonduality.

Bhagavan Buddha: ~ “There are only two mistakes one can make along the road to truth: not going all the way... and not starting.
Dalai Lama said: ~ Buddhism need not be the best religion though it is most scientific and religion and inquisitive. But Buddhism has no answer to certain questions like the existence of Atama (Soul) and rebirth. Dali Lama said that as an individual he believes in rebirth as he had come across a few cases of rebirth. Modern science, Dalai Lama hoped would unearth the mystery behind the rebirth. (In DH –dec-212009-Gulburga)
Bhagavan Buddha meant when he said the Self, did not exist, that the physical self alone did not exist.

 Atman:  real self. (Soul)

Jiva: physical self. (Ego)

Bhagavan Buddha said emptiness. Emptiness means the nature of the Soul, the fullness of the consciousness without the form, time, and space.

Bhagavan Buddha referred to the emptiness as "where thinking fails to attain", where words fail. All that you can say is there “No two". That is Advaita.

Sunyavadins (Buddhists) say that Buddha taught void, and because Buddha went through Idealism, he is called an Idealist. Not so. Buddha cannot be pinned down. Buddha himself does not commit himself but says it is beyond words.

Bhagavan Buddha kept silent, refusing to answer questions on the ultimate. Therefore, he was the wisest man in refusing to commit himself.
Even Buddhism is mixed up with regional culture and traditions of the local religion, wherever it existed. Thus to get the full essence from Buddhism is very difficult.

Dali Lama: ~ If the scientific analysis were conclusively to demonstrate certain claims in Buddhism to be false, then we must accept the findings of science and abandon those claims.

Buddhism has not proved the truth of Nonduality. Buddha pointed out the unreality of the world, we agree. He told people they were foolish to cling to it. But he stopped there. He came nearest to Vedanta in speech but not to Vedanta fully.

Buddhism: ~ Buddhist teaching has itself become a kind of interactive and Self -evolving process, much like its idea of pratityasamutpada. However, the end goal is still Nirvana, which is an experience ultimately beyond all concepts and language, even beyond the Buddhist teachings. In the end, even the attachment to the Dharma, the Buddhist teaching, must be dropped like all other attachments. The tradition compares the teaching to a raft upon which one crosses a swift river to get to the other side; once one is on the far shore; there is no longer any need to carry the raft. The far shore is Nirvana, and it is also said that when one arrives, one can see quite clearly that there was never any river at all.

Buddhist Sunyavada is incongruous because every thought has its opposite every word is tied to its coordinate for all thought and speech can only operate under such dualism. Hence, taking the most fundamental word, existence its implied opposite non-existence is also there, and vice versa. Therefore, the Sunya "non-entity" is meaningless without "entity". Both are there.

Buddhist Idealism speaks only of ideas.

What about the knower of these ideas?

Buddhist Nihilism does not ask, "What is meant by Nihilism?

It is a thought. There must be a thinker of this thought.

When you say "Nothing is" what is the meaning of "is"? "Sunya" is something that exists: you cannot prove that consciousness does not exist. Has the Void a meaning? If so then it is only your imagination.

The Sunyavada ultimate of the "void" is really a breath, and therefore an imagination and not truth. Sage Sankara opposed the Buddhists only, who misunderstood Bhagavan Buddha and became atheists.

According to Sage Sankara meditation always means the critical analysis of the Self to get salvation from worldly tensions. Due to the eccentric ego of the then atheists, Sage  Sankara did not go beyond this since the atheists will not accept God beyond themselves. This limitation is not due to limited knowledge of Sage   Sankara but is due to the then-existing situation of the psychology of the surrounding society.

Even Bhagavan Buddha kept silent about God because the society dealt by Him consisted of Purvamimamsakas, who were strong atheists.

Bhagavan Buddha told that everything including the Self is only relatively real (Sunya). This is correct because the Self is a part of the universe, which is relatively real with respect to the absolute unimaginable God.

Bhagavan Buddha stopped at this point because the atheists cannot realize the existence of the unimaginable God indicated through His silence.

The point of Bhagavan Buddha is that if God is non-existent, the entire creation including ‘Self ‘is non-existent. Sage  Sankara wanted to establish the existence of the Brahman. For this purpose, He made the Atman as the Brahman. He brought out the identity of Self with the consciousness and made the Atman the Brahman. Since one will not negate the existence of his Self, he will accept the existence of the Brahman, which is the Atman or Soul the innermost Self.

Both Bhagavan Buddha and Sage Sankara kept silent about the absolute unimaginable God. The same philosophy was dealt with by them from different angles in different situations.

Sage Sankara disagrees with Buddhists who say, there is nothing - a nonentity. Sage Sankara believes there is some reality, even though things are not what they appear to be. If one knows the truth, he will know what to do to find inspiration for action.  The seeker of truth‘s subject is to know what is it that is Real.

Buddhism says: all things are illusory and nothing exists.  However, Advaita avers that it is not so.  Advaita says that the universe, of course, is illusory, but there is Brahman (consciousness), that exists forming the very substratum of all things (illusion or universe).

Remember:~

Dalai Lama said: Buddhism need not be the best religion though it is more scientific and religion and inquisitive. (In DH –dec-212009-Gulbarga).

People who believe in reincarnation and rebirth theories are unaware of the fact that their belief is based on a waking entity, which is the false ‘Self’ within the false experience.
The waking entity(you) itself is the false self within the false experience, it means the present experience of birth, life, death, and the world is a falsehood.
Thus whatever is seen, known, believed, and experienced as the waking entity is bound to be a falsehood, because the Soul, the ‘Self’ is birthless, because it is formless. Therefore, the rebirth and reincarnation theory based on the false self’ is bound to be a falsehood.
People who are caught up with the idea of reincarnation and rebirth theories are not qualified to receive Advaitic wisdom or Self’-Knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana because they accepted duality as reality. Birth implies duality and the duality is falsehood from the ultimate standpoint.
Accepting rebirth and reincarnation theory as reality is accepting false ‘Self’ (waking entity or ego) as real ‘Self’ and false experience (waking) as reality.
Self-realization is an impossibility if one accepts the present waking entity as real ‘Self’ because the ‘Self’ is neither the waking entity nor the ‘Self’ is dream entity, but the ‘Self’ is formless Soul, which witnesses the coming and going of the three states without the physical apparatus.
This imagined theory based on the waking entity (ego) is for that lower mindset which is incapable of grasping the ultimate truth or Brahman.
Deeper self -search reveals the facts that, the waking experience itself’, is an illusion. It means the present experience of birth, life, death, and the world is an illusion.
Thus, the reincarnation theory based on the false ‘Self’ within the false experience is bound to be a falsehood. When the waking entity is not the ‘Self’ then whatever theories based on the waking entity are imagined theory. : ~

When the Bhagavan Buddha was dying, he said to his followers:~

When the Bhagavan Buddha was dying, he said to his followers:~

"Just as the earth has hills and grass, healing herbs, and nourishing grains for all beings to use, the truth that I have taught is also so.
It produces the flavor of wonder and is the healing medicine for the ailments of humankind.
I have brought you to abide peacefully in this great treasure.
But if you have any doubts, you must ask about them now.
Whatever your doubts are, I will try to answer them."
"Honored One, we understand the ideas of no self, of no permanent state, and of the suffering caused to the person by the belief that he has a self and is permanent.
He is like one who is drunk and sees the hills and rivers, moon and stars wheeling dizzily about him.
Such a one will never understand selflessness and will wander on endlessly in a miserable state.
It is because of such a miserable state that we cultivate the idea of no self."
Then the Buddha was roused from the calm of coming death and said,
"Listen closely! You have used the metaphor of a drunken person but you know only the words and not the meaning!
The drunk believes the world is spinning when it is not.
You still think the self is something if you believe you should be selfless in order to save yourselves.
You believe you should see the eternal as impermanent, the pure as impure, happiness as suffering.
But these are concepts and you have not penetrated the meaning.
The meaning is that the real self is the truth.
The eternal is existence.
Happiness is nirvana, and the pure is things as they are.
You should not practice ideas of impermanence, suffering, impurity, and selflessness as though they are real objects like stones or rocks but look instead for the meaning.
You should use expedient means in every place and cultivate the ideas of permanence, happiness, and purity for the sake of all beings.
If you do this, you will be like one who sees a gem in the muddied water among the stones and rocks and waits for the water to settle before he skillfully plucks it out.
It is the same with cultivating the idea of the self as with permanence, happiness, and purity."
The followers were taken aback.
They said, "Honored One, according to all you have taught and spoken, we have been asked to cultivate selflessness, leading to the dropping of the idea of a self.
But now you tell us we should cultivate the idea of a self --what is the meaning of this?"
"Good," replied the Bhagavan Buddha.
"You are now asking about meaning.
You should know that, like a doctor, you should find the right medicine for an illness.
It is as a doctor that I observed the ailments of the world.
I saw that ordinary people believe they have a self and that whoever they meet has a self.
They think of the self as within the body.
But it is not like that.
Because it is not like that, I have shown the fallacy of all the ideas of self and shown that the self is not there in the way it is thought to be. In everything I have said I have shown that the self is not as people think of it, for this is expedient means, the right medicine.
But that does not mean that there is no self.
What is the self?
If something is true, is real, is constant, is a foundation of a nature that is unchanging, this can be called the self. For the sake of sentient beings, in all the truths I have taught, there is such a self.
This is for you to cultivate."
~ Mahaparinirvana Sutra

A Gnani always dwells in nondual awareness in the midst of dualistic illusion or Maya (universe).+

Having turned visible into the invisible, one should realize everything to be consciousness itself.

A Gnani always dwells in nondual awareness in the midst of dualistic illusion or Maya (universe).

A Gnani has realized he is not he but the consciousness; his body is not the body but the consciousness, the world in which he exists is not the world but the consciousness. Everything that is known, seen, believed, and experienced by him is nothing but consciousness then what else remains, which is not consciousness.

There is nothing else to realize other than to realize consciousness alone is, everything else is merely an illusion created out of consciousness.

The look of an object will depend upon the medium through which the observer views it. In fact, our mental and intellectual conditions determine the world, observed, and experienced. The commoner viewing the world will see differently from a Gnani viewing the same world. Each one interprets the world that they see in terms of their existing knowledge. The commoner sees everything based on the ego, therefore, experiences the birth, life, death, and the world as a reality, whereas a Gnani sees everything as consciousness and he is fully aware of the fact that, there is no second thing that exists other than the Soul or consciousness. Thus, all the egocentric knowledge has to be bifurcated to realize the ultimate truth, which is beyond form, time, and space.

The world in which we exist is nothing but an illusion created out of the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.

The whole universe is nothing but the Soul. Therefore, there is no second thing that exists other than the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.

It is not as if something that was not consciousness suddenly becomes consciousness. Rather, "knowing the truth” means the removal of the ignorance about one's own existence as consciousness. Thus, to "know the truth” is to "be consciousness."

Consciousness is ever-present. Without consciousness, you and the world, in which you exist cease to exist.

Consciousness is Self-evident. It is not established by extraneous proofs. It is not possible to deny consciousness because it is the very essence of the one who denies it. Consciousness is the basis of all kinds of knowledge, presuppositions, and proofs. Consciousness is everything. Thus, consciousness is the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

God in truth is hidden by the illusory universe. God in truth alone is real and eternal and all else is an illusion.+

Rig Veda: ~ 'Prajnanam Brahma'- Consciousness is the ultimate reality or Brahman or God in truth.

Do not accept any other God other than the Soul. The Soul is God in truth,  Nothing is real but the Soul, which present in the form of consciousness. Nothing Matters but realize God in truth. God in truth is everywhere and in everything. Let these words be inscribed in your subconscious.

God in truth is hidden by the illusory universe. God in truth alone is real and eternal and all else is an illusion.: Brahman is merely a word to indicate the ultimate truth or God in truth.  The ultimate truth itself is God in truth.

Remember:~

God in truth becomes the universe (duality) and the universe becomes God in truth (nonduality). Realize the God as the Soul, the innermost ‘Self’.

The Soul is present in the form of consciousness. Thus, consciousness itself s God. The universe in which we exist is created out of consciousness. Thus, the consciousness (God) alone is real and all else is merely an illusion or Maya.
