The Advaitic wisdom becomes firm in the subconscious then the nondualistic Self-awareness arises on its own.+

The ‘I’ is the physical awareness.

The ‘I’ is present only when the mind is present.

When the mind is present then only there is awareness of the form, time, and space.

When the mind is absent then the form, time, and space are absent.

If the form, time, and space are absent then the mind is also absent.

Remember:~

If the form, time, and space are present then only the universe is present.

If the form, time, and space are absent then the universe also is absent.

Remember:~

The universe appears only when the waking appears.

The universe disappears when waking disappears.

Remember:~

The ‘I’ appears along with the waking and ‘I’ disappears along with the waking.

That is why Bhagavad Gita: ~ “The permanent (consciousness) is always there, only the transient ‘I’ comes and goes. (2.18)

The ‘I’ hides the Soul, the Self, which is present in the form of consciousness.

People think the ‘I’ without the body is the Self. The seeker has to understand the fact that ‘I’ is not the Self, but the witness of the ‘I’ is the true Self, which is eternal.

That is why Ashtavakra Gita 16:10:~ “If you desire liberation, but you still say "I," If you feel the ‘Self’ is the ‘I’, You are not a wise man or a seeker. You are simply a man who suffers.

People are stuck with the reality of the ‘I’, which they take it as real because some Gurus have propagated the Self is the ‘I’. is no need to convince such a mindset. The seeker of truth accepts only the truth nothing but the truth.

You, the world in which you exist belong to physical awareness. Physical awareness is not Self-awareness.

Realize you, the world in which you exist is created out of single stuff. That single stuff is consciousness. Knowledge of the single stuff is Advaitic wisdom or Self-knowledge

The Advaitic wisdom becomes firm in the subconscious then Self-awareness arises on its own.

When the Soul, the Self remains in its own awareness: ~

What is this body?

What is the ego?

What is this world?

What is 'I'?

What is duality?

What is existence, nonexistence, unity, or duality?

What needs us there to say more?

Nothing from the Soul because whatever seems to emanate from it, is non-different from itself. There is no second thing other than the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. One should not mistake Self (Soul) for the ‘I’.

Those who assert the world is a reality, are still in the elementary stages of the preliminary analysis. The world is a reality within the waking experience, but the waking experience is merely an illusion. The same way the dream world was a reality within the dream experience. The dream became unreal when the waking took place. The same way the waking becomes unreal when Advaitic wisdom dawns. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

The seeker must get rid of this ‘I know attitude’ to realize the truth, which is hidden by the ‘I’.+

Bhagavad Gita says: ~ Among thousands of men, scarcely one strives for perfection; and of those who strive and succeed, scarcely one knows the ‘Self’ in truth.

The path of wisdom attracts only those who are in search of truth and they appreciate it greatly.

The ignorant are not spiritually matured the receive Advaitic wisdom or Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana. The ignorant indulge in argument and provocation and personal attack, which hinders their own realization of the ultimate truth or Brahman.

Skill is required in every field to drive a car or ride a bicycle, a preliminary training is required before a person is allowed to handle the vehicle but in the field of spirituality, the science of the Spirit, the Self, is the most difficult of all sciences.

Sage Sankara says: - VC-47- All the effects of ignorance, root, and branch, are burnt down by the fire of knowledge, which arises from discrimination between these two—the Self and the not-Self.

Sage Sankara says:~VC-162- There is no liberation for a person of mere book-knowledge, howsoever well-read in the philosophy of Vedanta, so long as one does not give up the false identification with the body, sense organs, etc., which are unreal.

Yoga Vasistha says:~ Self-knowledge or knowledge of truth is not had by resorting to a Guru (preceptor) nor by the study of scripture, nor by good works: it is attained only by means of inquiry inspired by the company of wise (Gnani). One’s inner light alone is the means, naught else. When this inner light is kept alive, it is not affected by the darkness of inertia.

Everyone thinks of himself as Guru and he is competent because: ~

He has mastered the scriptures.

Or

He has studied under a famous Guru

Or

He has performed all religious rituals and leading orthodox oriented life and he has accumulated good karmas.

Or

He has got a Ph.D. on world philosophy from a famous university

Or

He is a scientist but he is well versed in Vedas.

Or

He is the disciple of the famous Guru

Or

He has done penance in the Himalayas.

Or

He has stayed without food for years

Or

He has renounced worldly life and takes sanyasa

Or

He has done lots of charity

He is well-versed in tantra and he got enlightenment through sex

Or

His Guru given him the power of transmitting enlightenment to others

Or
He is a hata yogi

None of the above qualifies to acquire Advaitic wisdom or Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana. From the Advaitic perspective, all these things have no value.

This ‘I’ know’ attitude is a great obstacle to acquiring Advaitic wisdom or Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana. The seeker must get rid of this ‘I know attitude’ to realize the truth, which is hidden by the ‘I’.

Humanity has to awaken to the reality of its true existence by realizing the world in which humanity exists is merely an illusion created out of the consciousness through Advaitic wisdom or Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana.

Advaitic wisdom or Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana frees the Soul, the Self from the cage of the dualistic illusion or Maya

People dwelling in ignorance, but thinking themselves wise and erudite, go round and round by various blind beliefs and tortuous paths and practices, like the blind led by the blind.

The truth is very simple, but it is very difficult to grasp because of ignorance. You have to only realize the world in which you exist is created out of single clay. And that single clay is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.

Thus, you and your body and the world in which you exist are nothing but consciousness because they are merely an illusion created out of consciousness. A perfect understanding of ‘what is what’ is needed.

A Gnani can point at the sky, but the seeing of the star is the seeker's own work.

It is necessary to reflect on the same truth again and again until it becomes a reality. One needs to constantly reflect on the subject until he gets a firm conviction of what is what. Words are needed until one gets a firm conviction of ‘what is what’.

People need reading and hearing the words of wisdom to think reason and reflect deeply and reach the ultimate end.

It takes time for the seeker to gain the perfect understanding of ‘what is the truth’ and ‘’what is untruth’. It takes time for the Soul, the Self to wake up from the sleep of ignorance, and it takes time for one realizes the truth, which is hidden by ignorance. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

Realization of Brahman or God is possible in this very life not in the next life or the next world.+

The realization of Brahman or God is possible in this very life not in the next life or next world.

The serious and sincere seeker who has patience, humility, and intense urge to know the truth, which is beyond the form, time, and space, will be able to realize the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth.

One, who has realized the ultimate truth or Brahman, is a Gnani. A Gnani sees himself along with the world in which he exists as consciousness.

All Gurus and paramparas belong to the orthodoxy. Orthodoxy is nothing to do with Sage Sankara’s Advaitic wisdom.

Identifying the Atman as Self is the most important in the Atmic path. Consciousness is the substratum on which the universe, which is the dualistic illusion experienced. Consciousness is hidden by the dualistic illusion. Consciousness dwells in everything and everywhere in the universe, which is the dualistic illusion or Maya.

The Atman is the Self. Atman is present in the form of consciousness. The universe is the dualistic illusion or Maya is created out of consciousness. Consciousness alone is real and eternal.

The Soul is the ultimate truth or Brahman. The Soul is in the form of consciousness. The Soul is Self -evident. It is not established by extraneous proofs. It is not possible to deny the Soul because it is the very essence of the one who denies it. The Soul is the basis of all kinds of knowledge, presuppositions, and proofs. The Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness (Spirit), is the ultimate truth or Brahman. Brahman is God in truth: ~ Santthosh Kumaar

Advaita is the Soul itself. Advaita is the ultimate truth. Advaita is Brahman. Advaita is God in truth.+

Advaita is not a religion. Advaita is not philosophy. Advaita is not yoga. Advaita is the nature of the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. Advaita is the Soul itself. Advaita is the ultimate truth. Advaita is Brahman. Advaita is God, the one without the second.

That is why Sage Sankara says:~ “VC- v6~ Let erudite scholars quote all the scripture, let Gods be invoked through sacrifices, let elaborate rituals be performed, let personal Gods be propitiated---yet, without the realization of one‘s identity With the Self, there shall be no liberation for the individual, not even in the lifetimes of a hundred Brahmas put together.

Sage Sankara said:~ “Talk as much philosophy as you like, worship as many gods as you please, observe ceremonies and sing devotional hymns, but liberation will never come, even after a hundred aeons, without realizing the Oneness.

Sage Sankara’s Advaitic wisdom is Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana. Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana is knowledge of the Spirit or God in truth.

Sage Sankara means Advaita and Advaita means Sage Sri, Sankara. If the seeker is seeking truth nothing but the truth then he has to drop all the theistic Advaita and different versions of Advaita created by eastern and western masters without mercy, in order to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana. Such teaching instead of helping the seeker blocks them from realizing the truth, hidden by the ‘I’.

Sage Sankara alone is Brahma Gnani the humanity has to bow with gratitude to the great sage.

People who go round and round in search of truth still have to walk around the mountains and face other difficulties. The seekers who have come to a conclusion the outer path is inadequate and useless to find the truth which they are seeking will take up the Atmic path.

Atmic path is the inner path or mental path. The Atmic path takes the seeker straight to the source and is not obstructed by any obstacles on the way. One also reaches the destination faster if he is sincere and serious in his quest for truth.

Upanishad says ~ “The human goal is to acquire Self-Knowledge and they indicate that belief in the personal Gods, yoga scriptures, worship, and rituals are not the means to Self –Knowledge, then why anyone should indulge in it.

The religion, concept of individualized god and scriptures are the greatest obstacle to Self-realization because they are based on false Self. The seeker of truth has to search for the ultimate truth without losing himself in the labyrinths of philosophy, through deeper Self-search and assimilate and realize it.

Sage Sankara: ~ VC Neither sacred baths nor any amount of charity nor even Hundreds of pranayamas* can give us the knowledge about our own Self. The firm realization of the nature of the Self is seen to proceed from inquiry along the lines of the salutary advice of the wise. (13)

All accumulated knowledge is of no use in the path of wisdom. Without realizing “What is the truth it is impossible to realize “What is untruth?” Without realizing what is truth and what is the untruth, it is impossible to assimilate the Self –Knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana. The seeker must know with full and firm conviction what truth is.

That is why Bhagavan Buddha said: ~ “Believe nothing because a wise man said it, Believe nothing because it is generally held. Believe nothing because it is written. Believe nothing because it is said to be divine. Believe nothing because someone else said it. But believe only what you yourself judge to be true.

The wisdom consists in knowing the truth, that everything (mind or physical existence) is the consciousness. The freedom (ultimate truth) is always there yet one does not know it. But to those whose reason is turned away from physicality and who have attained the serenity of the Soul or the consciousness, the innermost Self, is quite near to realizing the ultimate truth or Brahman.

Yoga Vasistha says: ~ “Self-knowledge or knowledge of truth is not had by resorting to a Guru (preceptor) nor by the study of scripture, nor by good works: it is attained only by means of inquiry inspired by the company of wise (Gnani). One’s inner light alone is the means, naught else. When this inner light is kept alive, it is not affected by the darkness of inertia.

Deeper thinking and Soulcentric reasoning help the seeker to unfold the truth which is hidden within the form, time, and space.

Bhagavan Buddha: ~ “There are only two mistakes one can make along the road to truth: not going all the way... and not starting. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

Know God in truth and realize God in truth.+

Know God in truth and realize God in truth. Religion is based on blind belief. But in pursuit of truth, doubt is the main ingredient.

No religious God can exist apart from the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.

All the religious Gods with form and attributes cease to exist without the dualistic illusion.

People are not aware of the fact that there is no individual God can exist, apart from the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.

Lord Krishna says Ch. V:~ “Those who know me in truth.". The last two words (tattvataha) are usually ignored by pundits, but they make all the difference between the ordinary concept of God and the truth about God.

When Upanishads and Vedas declare that, “God is present in the form of the Athma, and God is indeed Athma itself” then why to accept another God in place of the Atman or worship other than the Atman.

Sage Sankara says: ~ Atman is Brahman (God). The Atman alone is real is not religious truth. Sage Sri, Sankara declared this Advaitic truth, which the ultimate truth to the whole world, many centuries back is the rational truth, scientific truth, and ultimate truth.

Most people have the desire to know the truth but the capacity to understand and assimilate it is limited. The result is that people resolve the conflict by jumping to the first and simplest and easiest conclusion as the correct one, and smugly but unjustifiably thinking “I know”: Thus, they commit the fallacy of primitivity.

The seeker needs proof to accept anything as truth. Every guru intellectuals, pundit, or yogi statements have to be verified before accepting them as ultimate truth or Brahman. Their claims have to be verified before accepting them as truth.

Even Bhagavad Gita says: ~ “Brahmano hi pratisthaham” ~ Brahman (God) is considered the all-pervading consciousness, which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material. (14.27).

When Bhagavad Gita says, God is considered the all-pervading consciousness which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material then nothing has to be accepted as God other than consciousness.

Even Brihadaranyaka Upanishad: ~ Brahman (God) is present in the form of the Athma, and it is indeed Athma itself.

Religious Gods are based on blind belief. Belief is not God. Religious God cannot be considered as the center because the Soul and the innermost ‘Self’ is the center of all that exists. Without the Soul the world in which you exist ceases to exist, which means the religious God is dependent on the Soul for his existence. God in truth is only the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.

Even Rig Veda: ~ The Atman is the cause; Atman is the support of all that exists in this universe. May ye never turn away from the Atman the innermost self. May ye never accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman?" (10:48, 5)

Brihadaranyaka Upanishad: ~"He who worships the deities as entities entirely separate from him does not know the truth. For the Gods, he is like a pasu (beast)". (1. 4. 10)

No mantras help to get rid of ignorance. All the mantras and rituals are meant for the ignorant populace, which strongly believes, the world in which he exists as a reality. For one who wants to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana, the mantas will not help to realize the truth, which is beyond the form, time, and space.

That is why Sage Sankara:~ VC~.61. For one who has been bitten by the serpent of Ignorance, the only remedy is the knowledge of Brahman. Of what avail are the Vedas and (other) Scriptures, Mantras (sacred formulae), and medicines to such a one?

VC- v6~ Let erudite scholars quote all the scripture, let Gods be invoked through sacrifices, let elaborate rituals be performed, let personal Gods be propitiated---yet, without the realization of one‘s identity With the Self, there shall be no liberation for the individual, not even in the lifetimes of a hundred Brahmas put together

Sage Sankara goes on to say: ~A sickness of not cured by saying the word “medicine.” You must take the medicine. Liberation does not come by merely saying the word “Brahman (God).” Brahman must be realized. Until you allow this apparent universe to dissolve from your consciousness until you have realized Brahman, how can you find liberation just by saying the word Brahman? The result is merely noise. Until a man has destroyed his enemies and taken possession of the splendor and wealth of the kingdom, he cannot become a king by simply saying “I am a king.”

A buried treasure is not uncovered by merely uttering the words: “Come forth.” You must follow the right directions, dig, remove the stones and earth from above it, and then make it your own. In the same way, the pure truth of the Atman, which is buried under Maya and the effects of Maya, can be reached by meditation, contemplation, and other spiritual disciplines but never by subtle arguments. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

You are the ego. Without the ego, you and the world in which you exist cease to exist.+

You are the ego. Without the ego, you and the world in which you exist cease to exist.

The Soul, the Self is nothing to do with you and the world in which you exist because you and the world in which you exist is nothing but dualistic illusion or Maya.

The dualistic illusion or Maya hides the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.

The Soul the Self is verily one and without parts, whereas the body consists of many parts; and yet the people due to ignorance see (confound) these two as one.

The Soul the Self is unborn eternal since it is Existence itself; the universe is transient, as it is nonexistence in essence.

It is impossible to eliminate the ego. You cannot go beyond the ego because you are the ego. The ego is the very basis of the world in which you exist. It is impossible to eliminate the ego.

Remember: ~

People talk of getting rid of the ego but it impossible to get rid of the ego. The ego is the very basis of form, time, and space. Without the ego, the form, time, and space cease to exist. Without the form, time, and space the world in which we exist ceases to exist.

Thus, a perfect understanding of ‘what is what' is required to get rid of ignorance. Without getting rid of the ignorance the form, time, and space prevail as a reality.

One has to get rid of the ignorance, not the ego because the ego is the product of ignorance.

Just by saying let there be ‘oneness’ the diversity will not vanish. Without the Advaitic wisdom, ignorance will not vanish. Without getting rid of the ignorance, the dualistic illusion (the world in which you exist) prevails as a reality.

Trying to get rid of the ‘ego’ is like trying to get mangoes from a coconut tree. The truth is not imagination. Ornamental words may give satisfaction to a certain mindset but it blocks one from realizing the ‘Self’ hidden by the ignorance.

The ultimate truth is the fullness of consciousness. There is nothing apart from the consciousness, because, the whole universe is nothing but the consciousness. : ~Santthosh Kumaar

Religious orthodox think that through their good karma and performing rituals they get moksha but the religious propagated Moksha are imaginary.+

Religious orthodox think that through their good karma and performing rituals they get moksha but the religious propagated Moksha are imaginary.

First Mundaka - Chapter 2 (10) - Ignorant fools, regarding sacrifices and humanitarian works as the highest, do not know any higher good. Having enjoyed their reward on the heights of heaven, gained by good works, they still remain in ignorance of the Atman the real God.

As a person, one performs rituals throughout his life. The person who performs rituals and aspires for rewards will view the world in which he exists as a reality. However, the Soul, the Self unborn eternal hidden by the world in which he exists. From the standpoint of the Soul, the world in which he exists is merely an illusion.

The scriptures dealing with rituals, rewards, etc. are therefore addressed to an ignorant person.

First Mundaka - Chapter 2 (9) ~ Children, immersed in ignorance in various ways, flatter themselves, saying: We have accomplished life's purpose. Because these performers of karma do not know the Truth owing to their attachment, they fall from heaven, misery-stricken, when the fruit of their work is exhausted.

First Mundaka - Chapter 2 (8) ~ Fools, dwelling in darkness, but wise in their own conceit and puffed up with vain scholarship, wander about, being afflicted by many ills, like blind men led by the blind.

Ish Upanishad declares:~ Those people who have neglected the attainment of Self-knowledge and have thus committed suicide 10/11/12

The religious orthodox people who have neglected the attainment of Self-knowledge and have thus committed suicide, as it were, are doomed to enter those worlds after death.

There are two kinds of audiences - the ordinary ones who desire the transitory heaven and other pleasures obtained as a result of ritual sacrifices, and the more advanced seeker who seeks to know the truth beyond the form, time, and space. The religious orthodoxy is meant for the first audience, to help lead its followers along the way. The Atmic path emphasis on the Advaitic wisdom is meant for those who wish to go beyond such transient pleasures.

Although Sage Sankara puts the mystic goal highest in his mystical books, he is careful to say that this goal leads to Brahman, not that it is a realization.

That is why Sage Sankara: ~ VC- Let erudite scholars quote all the scripture, let Gods be invoked through sacrifices, let elaborate rituals be performed, let personal Gods be propitiated---yet, without the realization of one‘s identity With the Self, there shall be no liberation for the individual, not even in the lifetimes of a hundred Brahmas put together (verses-6)

As one goes deeper in annals of the history he becomes aware of the fact that the so-called present Hinduism has adopted many things from Buddhism, the religion of Abraham, Jainism, and Islam. If one goes deeper enough he will become aware everything is mixed up and messed up in time.

No one is taken pains to rectify it because; because people have been inherited them, from their ancestors and they think it is blasphemy even to hear anything against their inherited religion and belief. Once one gets involved with the religious class it is the end of the pursuit of truth.

The theistic (orthodoxy) Advaita and Maharishi Dayananda Saraswati‘s Vedic religion are based on the dualistic perspective but Advaita philosophy bifurcated from the theistic (dualistic) perspective is the real Advaita(non-dualistic) propagated by Sage Sankara.

There is no need to study neither Advaita nor Vedas nor Buddhism to realize the ultimate truth or Brahman. It is no use going roundabout way; trace the Brahman.

Sage Sankara said: ~ Neither by the practice of yoga nor philosophy, nor by good works nor by learning, does liberation come, but only through the realization that Atman and Brahman are one in no other way. (1) Vivekachoodamani v 56, pg 25

Sage Sankara says: ~ there is no need to study the Scriptures, in order to realize the ultimate truth or Brahman.

~ then why you indulge in studying the scriptures.

Sage Sankara says: ~ there is no need to study philosophy, in order to realize the ultimate truth or Brahman.

~then why you indulge in studying philosophy.

Sage Sankara says: ~ there is no need to indulge rituals, in order to realize the ultimate truth or Brahman.

~ then why you indulge in rituals.

Sage Sankara says: ~ there is no need to indulge in yoga, in order to realize the ultimate truth or Brahman.

~ then why you indulge in yoga.

Sage Sankara says the transparent Truth of the ‘Self’, which is hidden by the illusion, is to be attained through the instructions of a knower of Brahman, (Gnani) then why you are sticking a Guru who is not a Gnani.

Sage Sankara says: ~ “The exercise in discrimination between real and unreal and renunciation of the false is real meditation, then why you are indulging in other types of meditation. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

People are ignorant of God in truth so they believe and worship their inherited religious propagated belief as God.+

People are ignorant of God in truth so they believe and worship their inherited religious propagated belief as God.

It is high time for the ignorant populace to realize God in truth according to their own scriptures.

Bhagavad Gita: ~ ‘All those whose intelligence has been stolen by material desires, they worship many gods. (7- Verse -20)

Only the path of wisdom leads the seeker of truth on his journey to the ultimate realization of God hidden by ignorance.

Bhagavad Gita: 7: 19:~ "Such a man who has attained true knowledge, the knowledge of Self, the knowledge of Atman, worships ‘Self’ as~ Atman (God) alone exists~ everything is Atman, there exists nothing except Atman. Such a man is extremely rare."

Bhagavad Gita: ~ Brahmano hi pratisthaham ~ Brahman (God) is considered the all-pervading consciousness, which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material. (14.27).

When Bhagavad Gita says, God is considered the all-pervading consciousness which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material then nothing has to be accepted as God other than consciousness.

The Soul, the ‘Self itself is the Infinite God.

The Soul is the Self. God is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. God is the fullness of consciousness without the illusory division of form, time, and space. Therefore, there is nothing apart from it.

God is Self-evident. God is not established by extraneous proofs. It is not possible to deny God because God is the very essence of the one who denies it. God is the basis of all kinds of knowledge, presuppositions, and proofs. God is within the universe in which you exist, God is without the universe in which you exist.

God is the Supreme Being the One eternal homogeneous essence, indivisible consciousness and intelligence, which is beyond the form, time, and space. To which the Sages describe in a variety of ways through diverse words.

The Vedas confirms God is Atman (Spirit), the Self.

Yajurveda – chapter- 32:~ I God is Supreme Spirit has no ‘Pratima’ (idol) or material shape. God cannot be seen directly by anyone. God pervades all beings and all directions. Thus, Idolatry does not find any support from the Vedas.

Vedas itself declares: May ye never accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman? Thus, to know the real God Self-realization is necessary. Self-realization is God-realization. Self-realization itself is real worship.

Rig Veda: ~ The Atman is the cause; Atman is the support of all that exists in this universe. May ye never turn away from the Atman the innermost self. May ye never accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman?" (10:48, 5)

How can you worship God? That implies two ~ the worshiper and the worshiped, whereas God is nondual. One can worship his idea of God only or realize his unity with it when he can’t worship it as apart.

Brihadaranyaka Upanishad: ~ Brahman (God) is present in the form of the Athma, and it is indeed Athma itself.

When Upanishads and Vedas declare that, “God is present in the form of the Athma, and God is indeed Athma itself” then why to accept another God in place of the Atman or worship other than the Atman.

People, who worship the belief-based God, are hallucinating that they become one with such God.

Remember:~

All the karmas performed by the orthodoxy are non-Vedic and barred by the Vedas.

That is why Veda bars such worships and people who indulge in such activities will suffer and sink into darkness.

Upanishads says:~ Self-realization is the human goal. Therefore, one has to strive only for self-realization or truth realization.

All the religionists believe in God and Goddesses [vidya] and performing rituals and other sacrifices[Avidya] both are a hindrance to self-knowledge according to Ish Upanishads, then why the seeker of truth needs worshipping of God and Goddesses when the essence of Advaita is Ataman is Brahman.

Therefore, if one is seeking truth he has to know his true self is not physical but it is the Ataman, which is in the form of consciousness.

Isa Upanishads indicates that: By worshipping Gods and goddesses and going to the world of Gods after death is of no use. The time one spends in ritualistic practices is wasted; one can spend the same time moving forward towards Self-knowledge, which is the main goal. One cannot reach the non-dual destination by glorifying God and Goddesses and by doing that, one goes deeper and deeper into darkness. It surely indicates the fact that the seeker of truth has to drop the worshiping God and Goddesses.

It also indicates that Religious Rituals [Avidya] is Karma [action] and therefore a hindrance. By performing Agnihotra and other sacrifices [Avidya] is a roundabout way of purifying the mind, and it is also groping in the dark.

Also, it indicates the karma is limited only to the religious rituals, not on the whole human life. This karma theory based on human conduct must have been adopted from Buddhism and other theories based on human conduct.

When it says: Perform the obligatory karmas without any attachment to the fruits, and at the same time worship gods and goddesses, again without any desire to go to heaven - then you can get the benefit of both, liberation and bliss. For those who are not yet ready to renounce, this path is recommended, it means that the religion and its idea of god and goddesses and code of conducts, and its rituals are meant for the mass who are incapable of thinking of the beyond.

Also, it speaks of heaven the abode of gods, where one goes after death, and it speaks of rebirth, this contradiction, the seeker has to conclude that religion, rituals god, and its code of conducts are meant for the mass that is not receptive to self-knowledge.

When the Self is not the form but Self is the Soul, which is in the form of consciousness than how the physical conduct-oriented orthodoxy can get Self-knowledge or Bramha Gnana or Atma Gnana.:~
