It is better to educate the crowd to realize what God suppose to be in actuality according to their own scriptures.+

Religion is meant for the ignorant populace who are incapable of grasping the truth, which is hidden by the form, time, and space. Spirituality is meant for the serious seekers of truth who want to realize the truth hidden by illusory form, time, and space.

Never mix spirituality with religion. Religion is based on the ego whereas spirituality is based on the Soul, the Spirit or God.

The religious Gurus are meant to inject morals and ethics and guide the ignorant populace in human society to live with love and harmony.

People who rebelled against the religion, are merely intellectual speculators.

They are not serious about realizing the truth. They are more interested in showing their intellectual acrobatics with the information collected from whatever they have read and heard. Such accumulated knowledge is not the means to realize the truth, which hidden by ignorance.

Condemning religion and its Gurus and Gods will help the seeker to get rid of the ignorance.

It is better to educate the crowd to realize what God suppose to be in actuality according to their own scriptures.

Religion is regarded as sacred and real by the common people, by the wise as false, and by the politicians as useful.

Religion is nothing to do with the ultimate truth or Brahman or God in truth.

If one is seeking the truth, then he has to be free from all the religious beliefs and dogmas. Religion is based on the ego (you), whereas, the ultimate truth is based on the Soul, the Self.

Whatever is based on the ego is an illusion and whatever is based on the Soul is the ultimate reality or Brahman. Thus, religion has to be bifurcated from spirituality to realize the truth beyond the form, time, and space.

There is no use in condemning religion. But one has to highlight how they cause hindrance and becomes an obstacle in the pursuit of truth.

There is no need to rebel against religion but to realize the religion is based on the false self within the false experience whereas spirituality is based on the Soul, the Self.

Religion makes humanity remain in ignorance of the reality of their true existence with its beliefs, superstitions, and dogmas, the ideas of heaven, hell, sin, karma, and rebirth.

Heaven the abode of physicalized Gods, where one goes after death, rebirth, and karma theories based on the birth entity, which is the false self within the illusory world.

For those ignorant who believe their experience of birth, life, death, and the world as a reality, think that the effect of the action is done in previous births, as the Prarabdha in this birth, but for the realized one the present birth, life, death and the world itself is an illusion because they have realized the fact that, waking experience itself is an illusion created out of the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.

The heaven, the abode of physicalized Gods, where one goes after death, rebirth, and karma theories based on the birth entity, which is the false self within the illusory world.

When Vedas and Upanishads give clear-cut ideas of what God supposed to be then all these Gods and Goddesses which people worship have no value from the ultimate standpoint.

Religious Gods are based on blind faith or belief. Belief is not God. Religious God cannot be considered as the center because the Soul, the innermost ‘Self’ is the center of all that exists. Without the Soul the world in which you exist ceases to exist, which means the religious God is dependent on the Soul for his existence. God in truth is only the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.

The Vedic God is Spirit. The Spirit, God is present in the form of the Atman (Soul). The Spirit, God is present in the form of consciousness.

Yajurveda – chapter- 32:~ “It has been said that God Supreme or Supreme Spirit has no ‘Pratima’ (idol) or material shape. God cannot be seen directly by anyone. God pervades all beings and all directions. Thus, Idolatry does not find any support from the Vedas.

Rig Veda: ~ The Atman is the cause; Atman is the support of all that exists in this universe. May ye never turn away from the Atman the innermost self. May ye never accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman?" (10:48, 5)

Even Brihadaranyaka Upanishad: ~ Brahman (God) is present in the form of the Athma, and it is indeed Athma itself.

Even Bhagavad Gita says: ~ Brahmano hi pratisthaham ~ Brahman (God) is considered the all-pervading consciousness, which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material. (14.27).

When Bhagavad Gita says, God is considered the all-pervading consciousness which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material then nothing has to be accepted as God other than consciousness.

Brihadaranyaka Upanishad:~ "He who worships the deities as entities entirely separate from him does not know the truth. For the Gods, he is like a pasu (beast)". (1. 4. 10)

No mantras help to get rid of ignorance. All the mantras and rituals are meant for the ignorant populace, which strongly believes, the world in which he exists as a reality. For one who wants to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana, the mantas will not help to realize the truth, which is beyond the form, time, and space.

That is why Sage Sankara-~VC~.61:~ For one who has been bitten by the serpent of Ignorance, the only remedy is the knowledge of Brahman. Of what avail are the Vedas and (other) Scriptures, Mantras (sacred formulae), and medicines to such a one?

VC- v6~ Let erudite scholars quote all the scripture, let Gods be invoked through sacrifices, let elaborate rituals be performed, let personal Gods be propitiated---yet, without the realization of one‘s identity With the Self, there shall be no liberation for the individual, not even in the lifetimes of a hundred Brahmas put together. : ~Santthosh Kumaar

Only by getting rid of the ignorance one can get rid of the inborn samskara or conditioning.+

People try to overcome their inherited religious conditioning, but by getting rid of the religious conditioning one will not be able to overcome the physical shackle. One has to get rid of the inborn samskara or conditioning itself by realizing the fact that ‘I’ or ‘I AM’ is not the ‘Self’.

Only by getting rid of ignorance, one can get rid of the inborn samskara or conditioning.

v“What is the use of arguing on the base of the birth entity, which is not the self?

v “What is the use of knowing what happens after death when the self is birthless?

v “What is the use of thinking of heaven and hell when the self is not an individual and it is never born and never dies?

The Man is unaware of the fact that he and his experience of the world are within the waking experience. The waking experience appears and disappears, the same way as the dream.

When there is the dream then there is no waking.

When there is waking then there is no dream.

When there is neither the dream nor the waking it is identified as deep sleep in the waking experience.

One is aware of the dream or deep sleep only in the waking. The one which is aware of the coming and going of the three states is neither the waking entity (you) nor the dream entity but the Soul, the witness of the three states.

All the scriptures indicate that Atman is Brahman, and Brahman is the ultimate truth. Therefore the Soul, which is in the form of consciousness, is the ultimate truth, Brahman, or God. Thus, to realize the ultimate truth is the prime goal.

A well-directed inquiry, analysis, and reasoning will lead one to his nondual destination. :~ Santthosh Kumaar

The seeker must know ‘what is the subject” and ‘what is an object? within the dualistic illusion, to unfold the truth.+

The Subject is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. The three states are an object to the formless Soul, which is the subject.

The world in which we exist is the dualistic illusion created out of single clay. That single clay is the Soul, the Subject, and the dualistic illusion or Maya is an object to the formless, timeless, and spaceless subject.

The seeker must know ‘what is the subject” and ‘what is an object? within the dualistic illusion, to unfold the mystery of our existence.

In reality, the subject and object are one in essence because the object is created out of the subject. Therefore, the subject alone is real and the object is merely an illusion created out of the subject.

the 'I' appears as the world is an object to the Soul, which is the formless subject. holding the 'I' as the subject is a great error.

That is why Bhagavad Gita: ~ “The permanent (consciousness) is always there, only the transient ‘I’ comes and goes. (2.18)

The ‘I’ hides the Soul, the Subject.

As a person perceiving the world, one is unaware of the fact that he and his experience of the world are within the object. He as a person is completely unaware of the fact that he is not the subject at all. The subject is formless and it is apart from the three states (object).

The subject is not an entity or identity within the three states. Therefore, judging the truth on the base of the object as the Self is erroneous. Such judgment leads to all sorts of speculation, doubts, and confusion. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

Advaita is basically a denial; it is literally the negation of the Dvaita.+

Sage Sankara says you need to study philosophy to realize the Self hidden by the dualistic illusion.

Advaitic wisdom exposes the oneness hidden by the dualistic illusion. the Soul the Self pervades in everything and everywhere in the universe, which is the dualistic illusion. there are many creatures but there is only one Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.

How can you talk of many Souls when the whole dualistic illusion (universe) is created out of single clay? The single clay is the Soul, the Self of the whole dualistic illusion.

Sage Sankara asks his opponents "How do you know there are separate individual Souls? Have you seen the Soul of a man? You can only say that you have seen different bodies. To say more is to misuse language. Therefore, I call you liars unless you give proof, which is impossible.

The universe is verily consciousness. Without realizing ‘this truth is impossible to get Self- realization. The universe is not different from the Mind because the universe itself is the mind. The mind is not different from the Soul because the mind is the dualistic illusion created out of the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness.

Thus, the universe is nothing but consciousness. The universe is unreal because it is not absolute and eternal like consciousness.

It is impossible for any human being to challenge successfully the Advaitic position, as Sage Sankara says.

Even Bhagavad Gita says: ~ ‘Brahmano hi pratisthaham’- Brahman (God) is considered the all-pervading consciousness which is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material (Gita 14.27)

Bhagavad Gita itself says the all-pervading consciousness is the basis of all the animate and inanimate entities and material.

Religious God cannot be considered as the center because the Soul and the innermost ‘Self’ is the center of all that exists. Without the Soul the world in which you exist ceases to exist, which means the religious God is dependent on the Soul for his existence.

Rig Veda: ~ The Atman is the cause; Atman (Spirit) is the support of all that exists in this universe. May ye never turn away from the Atman the innermost self. May ye never accept another God in place of the Atman nor worship other than the Atman?" (10:48, 5)

The Spirit is the root element of the universe. The Spirit is present in the form of the Soul, the Self. The Soul is present in the form of consciousness. From the Spirit, the universe comes into existence. In the Spirit, the universe resides. And into the Spirit, the universe is dissolved. The Spirit is the parent of all that is there is.

To come to a more precise understanding of what non-duality is or might mean, we must return to the original linguistic and philosophic backgrounds from which the word has been translated into English.

If we limit a probe of the meaning of non-duality to Hindu Sanskrit literature, we find that the most frequently used term is “Advaita.

Advaita” is not a religious concept. Advaita is the nature of the existence hidden by the form, time, and space. The seeker has to attempt to rule out from the start a false understanding of reality by perfect understanding of ‘what is what’.

The Advaita is hidden by the Dvaita. Advaita is the Soul, which is present in the form of consciousness. Dvaita is the universe.

Advaita is basically a denial; it is literally the negation of the Dvaita. That means whatever remains by negating the Dvaita (universe) by realizing the universe is created out of single clay and that clay is the Soul, which is present in the form of the consciousness, the hidden truth by Dvaita uncovered. The consciousness is the cause of the universe and it itself is uncaused.

Thus, the path of wisdom is the only means. Then it is no use going roundabout way, trace the Brahman which is the formless substance and the witness of the universe (mind). By tracing the source of the mind or the universe one will be able to realize the Brahman. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

Advaitic Truth is simple, but it is very difficult to grasp because people are stuck up with their accumulated knowledge+

Advaitic Truth is simple, but it is very difficult to grasp because people are stuck up with their accumulated knowledge, which blocks their realization.

Swami Vivekananda: ~ “Advaita encompasses everything. Since Advaita requires heavy-duty intellectualism, it had to be progressively simplified.

The universe is both real and unreal. It is real because it is a manifestation of consciousness, but is unreal, in the sense, that it is not absolute and eternal like consciousness itself.

People's approach is more practical, and they stuck with the reality of the universe, they take it as real. That is why all the confusion.

The look of an object will depend upon the medium through which the observer views it. In fact, our mental and intellectual conditions determine the universe, observed, and experienced. The commoner viewing the world will see differently from a Gnani viewing the same world. Each one interprets the universe that they see in terms of their existing knowledge. The commoner sees everything based on the ego, therefore, experiences the birth, life, death, and the world as a reality, whereas a Gnani sees everything as consciousness and he is fully aware of the fact that, there is no second thing exists other than the Soul or consciousness. Thus, all the egocentric (religious) adulteration has to be bifurcated to realize the ultimate truth, which is beyond form, time, and space.

Remember:~

People don’t realize the Gnana is already there but they have buried it under their accumulated knowledge and they don't want to check that is why they miss it. They refuse to accept anything other than their mental Garbage.

All accumulated knowledge from different Gurus and different sources and different ideologies and different philosophies have buried the truth under mental Garbage. People are stuck with their religion and religious doctrine and Gurus and their Gurus teachings and refuse to accept anything as the truth other than their accepted truth.

That is why Sage Sankara says:~ A buried treasure is not uncovered by merely uttering the words: “Come forth.” You must follow the right directions, dig, remove the stones and earth from above it, and then make it, your own. In the same way, the pure truth of the Atman, which is buried under Maya and the effects of Maya, can be reached by meditation, contemplation, and other spiritual disciplines but never by subtle arguments.

Sage Sankara goes on to say: ~A sickness of not cured by saying the word “medicine.” You must take the medicine. Liberation does not come by merely saying the word “Brahman.” Brahman must be realized. Until you allow this apparent universe to dissolve from your consciousness until you have realized Brahman, how can you find liberation just by saying the word Brahman? The result is merely noise. Until a man has destroyed his enemies and taken possession of the splendor and wealth of the kingdom, he cannot become a king by simply saying “I am a king.”

That is why Sage Sankara:~ VC- v6~ Let erudite scholars quote all the scripture, let Gods be invoked through sacrifices, let elaborate rituals be performed, let personal Gods be propitiated---yet, without the realization of one‘s identity With the Self, there shall be no liberation for the individual, not even in the lifetimes of a hundred Brahmas put together.

Fortunate are those who do not lose themselves in the labyrinths of accumulated knowledge. They are conceptual divisions invented by the Gurus in the past by their excessive analysis. All these concepts create so many doubts and confusion. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar

The scriptures speak of the truth with a weak voice and they do not have the majesty found in Sage Sankara’s Advaitic wisdom.+

Sage Sankara’s Advaitic wisdom itself is Self -knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana. The Vedas and the Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita speaks of the truth with a weak voice and they do not have the majesty found in Sage Sankara’s Advaitic wisdom ~ it is simply unparalleled. The influence of Sage Sankara’s wisdom is nothing to do with the Advaitic orthodox sect or caste.

Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana cannot be surmised by merely reading the Vedas and Upanishads.

Upanishad aspiration is best expressed in the sutra: ~ OM Asato ma sad gaMaya, tamaso ma jyotir gaMaya, mrityor ma aamritaam gaMaya. Shanti, Shanti, Shanti.

"OM Lead me from ignorance to truth, from darkness to light, from death to immortality. Peace, Peace, Peace"  (Brihadaranyaka Upanishad (1/3/28)).

Remember:~

Adyatma is nothing to do with religious sect or creed and religious belief. Adyatma is pure spirituality. Knowledge of Atma is Adyatma. Advaita is Adyatma.

Adyatma is the knowledge of the truth beyond the form, time, and space. Bifurcate religion, yoga, and theoretical philosophy and based the truth on the Athma it is Adyatma.

Adyatma is based on the ultimate truth which is based on the Atma or Spirit, which is the Self.

Sage Sankara's Advaitic wisdom is pure spirituality or Adyathma

The Advaitic wisdom has been lost: people misinterpret and falsify it, Advaitic wisdom is not yoga but it is the truth, which is hidden within the form, time, and space, but nobody knows it. The teachers of philosophy and religious Gurus and yogis do not want to inquire into the hidden truth and have no time for it.

Neither by the practice of yoga nor philosophy, nor by good works nor by learning comes freedom from experiencing the dualistic illusion come, but only through the Advaitic wisdom.

The most important thing is that neither society nor politics nor any other institution of human life had any influence on Sage Sankara’s Advaitic wisdom.

Let erudite scholars quote all the Scripture, let Gods be invoked through sacrifices, let elaborate rituals be performed, let personal Gods be propitiated~ yet, without the Advaitic wisdom there shall be no freedom for the Soul, which is caught up in the dualistic illusion.

The truth which has no basis is usually religion or merely a catalog of ignorant opinions; people prefer it because it can be got more easily. All religious doctrines are based on the ego.

Whatever based on the ego is worthless because the truth is based on the Soul, the 'Self'.

Sage Sankara’s Advaitic wisdom is such a pure expression ~ transcending the form, time, and space ~ there is nothing comparable.

Religion has been very influential. The first reason is that religion is a synthesis. Religion is more concerned with synthesis than with truth. The desire for synthesis is so strong that if necessary religion doesn't mind sacrificing the truth to propagate the belief.

Religion is a hodgepodge containing everything; hence it suits everyone because there is something in it for everyone.

The truth does not belong to any religion. Religious truth is individual truth based on the false self.

The ignorant populace takes solace from their inherited religion. For the religious people Sage Sri, Sankara’s Advaitic wisdom will prove very difficult.

The seeker has to know God in truth. The truth is ignored by religion. The difference between the religious concept of God, which is based on blind belief and the truth about God, is based on the core of existence.

Sage Sri, Sankara’s Advaitic wisdom is not for synthesis ~ it is the truth that is hidden within the form, time, and space but the truth is beyond the form, time, and space.

The truth just as it is, without any artifice or coloring and ornamental words. Sage Sri, Sankara is not concerned about the populace, he does not care whether his followers will understand or not. Such a pure expression of truth has never happened anywhere before, nor has it ever happened again.

It is necessary to realize there is no wisdom whatsoever in the scriptures. The scriptures contain mere words ~ just a collection of words found in scriptures.

The Advaitic Wisdom is hidden by the world in which we exist. The truth is found in books but Truth is hidden by the world in which we exist.

Sage Sankara’s wisdom is absolutely unique. They come from the source from which the universe comes. If Sage Sankara’s words penetrate you, they will start awakening the Soul, the innermost ‘Self’ from its sleep of ignorance. Sage Sankara’s wisdom will thrill every seeker and bring the Soul back into its own awareness in the midst of the dualistic illusionSage Sankara’s wisdom is an inner Revolution.

Sage Sankara regards personal realization as independent and convincing evidence.

Sage Sankara says that an individual’s experience cannot be disputed because the experience he went through was real to him; though that may not be real, from the absolute point of view.

Sage Sankara makes a distinction between the absolute view and the relative view of things.

Sage  Sankara’s wisdom is nothing to do with religion and yoga. There are two kinds of audiences ~ the ordinary ones who desire the transitory heaven and other pleasures obtained as a result of ritual sacrifices, and the more advanced seeker who seeks to know the truth beyond the form, time, and space. The religion and yoga are meant for the first audience, to help lead its followers along the way.

Sage Sankara’s Advaitic wisdom is meant for those who wish to go beyond such transient pleasures.

It takes time for the seeker to gain a perfect understanding of the Advaitic truth. It takes time for the Soul, the innermost ‘Self’ to wake up from the sleep of ignorance, and it takes time for you to realize the Advaitic truth, which is beyond the form, time, and space.

Sage Sri, Sankara is the only sage who has final authority on the Advaitic truth. The Advaitic truth is rational truth and scientific truth and ultimate truth without dogmas.

The seeker to go on his own and remove the entire obstacle. The greatest hindrance is mixing religion, God, scriptures, and yogic theories. Moreover, attachment to scriptures, personal God, and religious code of conduct keep one permanently in the grip of the dualistic illusion.:~Santthosh Kumaar

All the scriptural interpretations by the Gurus based on the dualistic perspective and orthodox point of view.+

All the scriptural interpretations by the Gurus based on the dualistic perspective and orthodox point of view, therefore, they create more and more confusion. The scriptures are not helpful to unfold the truth hidden by ignorance.

Ashtavakra:~There is no wisdom whatsoever in the scriptures-just a collection of words.

The seeker should not bother about finding the meaning of what is written in the scriptures.

Even the Upanishads are Self-contradictory. Pundits and scholars give conflicting interpretations of them.

When one uses his own Common-sense he becomes aware that, the final authority, therefore, is using his own reason. One should apply his reason to the scriptures before accepting them as truth.

Ashtavakra: ~My child you may speak upon various scriptures or hear the sermons on the scriptures. But you cannot establish in the ‘Self’ unless you forget all. 16-1 – p49

Sage Sankara restrained himself parting the Advaitic wisdom or Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana to the mass and only a selected few. It was hidden from the people who were not qualified and receptive to it. Advaitic wisdom or Self’ - knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana was not written down but was imparted orally to the chosen few. Thus, religion was given to the mass, and knowledge of the Spirit is given only to a selected few. Thus, we find traces of a knowledge of the Spirit in the religious books in the form of parables.

Swami Vivekananda: ~ “Advaita encompasses everything. Since Advaita requires heavy-duty intellectualism, it had to be progressively simplified. (From 'The Complete Works of Swami Vivekananda)

Advaitic wisdom or Self-Knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana is not based on any teaching or teacher. The Pursuit of truth is a pursuit of verification not a pursuit of an argument.

Intellectual discussion is dualistic, therefore, it is a great hindrance in the pursuit of truth.

That which is unreal, that is duality, cannot contradict the truth of non-duality. It cannot be counted as an adversary of non-duality. The illusion cannot, 'oppose' the substratum, reality. It can at best lead to the mistaking of the substratum. Perfect understanding is the only way to overcome ignorance.

Remember:~

Yoga Vasistha:~ "Teachers, interpretations of sacred texts, the force of religious merit--none of these lead to the realization of that Ultimate Truth which is revealed in the clear reflection of the heart, engendered from contact with the good."

Sage Sankara: ~ VC Let erudite scholars quote all the Scripture, let Gods be invoked through sacrifices, let elaborate rituals be performed, let personal Gods be propitiated---yet, without the realization of one‘s identity With the Self, there shall be no liberation for the individual, not even in the lifetimes of a hundred Brahmas put together (verses-6)

Sage Sankara said:~ Talk as much philosophy as you like, worship as many gods as you please, observe ceremonies and sing devotional hymns, but liberation will never come, even after a hundred aeons, without realizing the Oneness.

Only the Atmic path one can reach the nondual destination without any teaching or teacher. By accepting oneself as some one’s guru or some one’s disciple and following some one’s teaching without verification is the greatest obstacle in the pursuit of truth. The nondual truth is the universal truth, it belongs to the whole humanity and it is not a commodity, which can be bought from the market.

A permanent view of the world as unreal can come only after Soul centric reasoning; such knowledge cannot change. Were the seeker who is sufficiently sharp enough he could grasp the unreal nature of the world by Soul-centric reasoning alone. To know the whole truth, one must know the whole universe, otherwise, he gets only half-truth.

The non-dualistic or Advaitic truth is the uncontradictable truth, it cannot be attained by discussing and arguing on the base of some teachings or so Guru.

Remember:~

Sage Sankara says in Aparoksh Anubhuti:~ 88. When the whole universe, movable and immovable, is known to be Atman, and thus the existence of everything else is negated, where is then any room to say that the body is Atman?

89O enlightened one; pass your time always contemplating on Atman while you are experiencing all the results of Prarabdha (ignorance); for it, ill becomes you to feel distressed.

Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana does not need the support of any scripture or revelation like the Vedas. The ultimate truth is based, not upon the varying theological fancies, which are as numerous as the sands of the sea, but upon reason, the common heritage of all mankind, irrespective of color or creed or clime.

The essence of scriptures: - DEHUM-NAHUM- KOHUM – SOHUM— which indicates the body is not the Self, the Self is that which is without the body. Thus, one can conclude, if the body is not the Self then the body-based religion and theories, beliefs, practices rituals, and yoga are of no use in pursuit of truth.

Therefore, a deeper Self- search is necessary to acquire Self-knowledge or Brahma Gnana or Atma Gnana. : ~ Santthosh Kumaar
